Emiliano Construction Corp

We worked with Emiliano Construction Corp for an extensive renovation of a brownstone. The basement, first floor and part of the second floor were completely gutted, a new concrete slab was put in the basement and reinforced steel joists replaced the old and termite damaged joists. New walls, new floors, all new finishes were put in the basement and first floor, new kitchen, powder rooms (basement and first fl) and a new bathroom was installed on the second floor. New electrical and plumbing throughout and new stucco and paint on back facade. The scope of work was very large and it was done on schedule (the main delay was due to the termite damaged joists which were outside of anybody's control). Daniel (the owner) and his crew were great to work with and handled even the trickiest issues (like the joists one) and were extremely accommodating and helpful. For example, one evening shortly after we moved in but before all the work was done, we had a water leak in the basement and Daniel's father, Jose, drove one hour to put tarps above the basement hatch to limit the flooding. This is but one example, there were a few more issues where Daniel and his crew really came through for us. We really appreciated the excellent work (the tile work and paint job were particularly excellent, but everything looks great) and the ability to work with our needs and fix things we did not like along the way. I would highly recommend Daniel's company if you are looking for a reliable and easy to work with contractor.

Dan and his crew did a superb job with our laundry room / half bath conversion. It was a tricky plumbing job and everything looks and works beautifully. Their attention to detail is very impressive. Renovations can be stressful but with planning and a good contractor like Emiliano Construction, things can go better than expected! We renovated our kitchen & bath in our 1BR apartment this spring and lived in the apartment while work was being done. All building rules were followed, workmen came timely every day and worked well, were respectful, and cleaned up at the end of every day. Only minor glitches, none of which, were the fault of Emiliano. Stressful to live through it, for sure! Wishing it would go quicker, you bet! But on budget and on time except for a few days delay due to materials. The best news is we were just as happy with Emiliano at the end of the project as were before we started.

I don't think I could have made a better choice! From start to finish, Emiliano was communicative, friendly, knowledgeable, flexible, hard-working, skilled, resourceful, and reliable. Daniel and his crew were a pleasure to work with and very professional. They kept us apprised of any changes with daily morning updates. Especially for the installation of the kitchen cabinetry, they were meticulous made sure everything lined up perfectly. We would definitely use them again for a future project without hesitation.

Daniel remodeled our bathroom and we are so incredibly happy with it. He and his team are professional, communicative, timely, and priced competitively. He came recommended by an architect I had consulted. I'm a first time home owner with no experience with renovations so figuring out materials and fixtures was complicated for me, but Daniel and his father were super helpful with suggestions and recommendations. He was very patient, it took me forever to choose the materials an order them (long lead times in 2022). Daniel's communication was excellent, fast emailer, and he clearly outlined everything in the contract and kept the contract up to date with changes. There were no surprises. Everyone on his team did an exceptional job from the demo, to leveling the walls, to the tiles and electric. My co-op has a bunch of rules and his team abided by all of them. Emiliano Construction did an amazing job renovating our entire Manhattan apartment. They completely changed the look of our apartment, from floors, to bathroom and kitchen. Emiliano Construction has my highest recommendation for their amazing major renovation of my home in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. Due to complications with the DOB and pandemic, my renovation lasted two and half years, with Daniel and crew there every step of the way. If anyone is looking for a contractor then your wasting your time looking elsewhere. Daniel is 110 percent professional above the rest. He's punctual, on point and the work is phenomenal. He listens to what you want and makes it happen. At times, if something wasn't right, without question, it was addressed and rectified. His pricing for the work is very fair for you get in return. We did a whole house renovation and from start to finish, it was a pleasure working with Daniel and his Father every step of the way. We interviewed many contractors before we went with Emiliano Construction. It was actually an easy choice. We received price quotes that were higher as well as lower. We had a number in mind and decided that the low quote was not worth it as you get what you pay for. The higher quotes were way too high but in all honesty, we went with Danny due his demeanor. He wasn't a "salesman" and didn't try to impress/patronize us. He mainly answered all our questions and volunteered necessary information. We were asked to think about what was spoken of and if we had any further questions to contact him. There was not 1 time that Danny did not pick up his phone. All concerns/questions were promptly answered and taken care of. I have a friend who just completed his home renovation and was told that his contractor was a nightmare. They got into arguments multiple times throughout the renovation. Danny was nothing like i heard. I was skeptical at first and figured all contractors were alike but i was dead wrong. Him and Ella (my interior designer) worked hand in hand to make my house a unique, one of a kind style. My whole block, the homes look Identical. Same layout, same style, same features... Not mine. I'm getting neighbors asking where i got this and that. Neighbors i've never spoken to catch me when i'm outside and ask questions pertaining to the house. I honestly can't answer all their questions as Ella pretty much ran items by me and i approved. I'm not certain where she gets her stuff from but i know the items in my house are not purchased from the same place. I certainly don't have time to shop so figured id leave it to someone else and glad i did. Between the work put forth by both Danny and Ella, you have no idea how many compliments i get on the house. Daniel From Emiliano Construction made our first renovation experience very pleasant! Our project was extensive because we decided to gut 2 floors and most of the basement. We also replaced the windows, heating, cooling, plumbing, and electric. We did plenty of research before the project started however we still needed a lot of assistance planning the material purchasing timeline, acquiring certain difficult items, and choosing the types of materials. Emiliano Construction was able to help in very aspect and provided multiple suggestions / options throughout the entire project. We never felt pressured to make any choices and it was only based on what we wanted. There was always a high and low, a pro and con, discussion when we needed to make a decision. The contract was clear and descriptive. As with many renovations, unexpected situations (such as uncovering disintegrated basement drainage pipes) often arise and Daniel was diligent in notifying us with about issues and multiple solutions were always provided. The best part of working with Emiliano Construction was the response time. Whether we texted, called, or e-mailed, Daniel always responded immediately or within the same day. We also made good use of google sheets. Daniel was also very flexible and available with scheduling meetings to review the progress. We felt very much like friends throughout this whole renovation and we plan to work with them in the future. Since this was our first renovation and we were extremely nervous about choosing a contractor, we're so happy and fortunate we went with Emiliano Construction.

We recently completed a major gut renovation of a newly purchased sponsor apartment. The apartment looked like it had not been updated for decades, and needed a complete face-lift from top to bottom. We brought in a few different contractors that we had found online, through word-of mouth, and here on Houzz. Our gut feeling was to go with Daniel immediately after meeting with him. He was able to put us at ease when we first met and maintained a professional demeanor throughout the project. My wife and I renovated our 2 bedroom and 2 baths apartment with Emiliano Construction Corp. I really enjoyed the renovation project from the beginning to the end. First of all, they did a great job and made the whole process a lot easier for us, especially this was the first renovation project we've ever done. In particular, Daniel provided options for the materials and fixtures and purchased them on our behalf. When we had specific requirements on fixtures, he would patiently work with us to figure it out together. Secondly, Daniel and his dad Jose were always around during the project making sure everything would go smoothly. Whenever we wanted to meet up to go over a few things, they tried to accommodate our schedules all the time. Like they said, we can always give them a call if we have any questions or concerns. Most importantly, Daniel was super responsive through the whole project. He replied to our emails and texts very quickly and would address our concerns in detail. My initial experience with contractors was not pleasant, and Daniel stood out from the bunch from the very start with his reliability and professionalism. We love our new kitchen and bathroom. When I set out to find a contractor, three companies recommended by friends didn't bother to call me back. Eventually, I met with seven contractors that I'd found online, including Daniel at Emiliano. Of those seven, Daniel was the ONLY contractor that returned with a bid. Fortunately the bid was within our budget, but more importantly, I knew from our initial meetings that Daniel would be easy to work with and would be good at meeting our own expectations for the design while also having a strong design sense of his own. My initial hunch about Daniel and his family-run company proved correct. They did a gut reno in our co-op apt. in the estimated 4 to 6-weeks timeline--we moved out of the apartment for five weeks and were able to move back as they were putting on finishing touches. Contractors generally seem to be a questionable bunch of humans, so it was a relief to work with someone who was always professional, responsive, and reliable.

I had a complete renavation done by Emiliano Construction Corp to my two bedroom apartment. I had a very specific idea as to what I wanted for every room. Once I met with the contractor and explianed my vision he gave me options and opinions that worked better than my original design. After a couple drafts of the contract and after obtaining the permits from DOB we were able to start the demo and then the reno. The work was done in a timely manner and I would always get an email or text message as to the progress of the job. Daniel and his team are truly talented professionals. This is my first time owning a property. My girlfriend and I wanted to make sure everything was perfect with a bathroom renovation. Daniel, his father Jose and the rest of his crew did everything in what I felt was record time. I thought the quality of the work would have been compromised with how quickly everything was completed, however his attention to detail surpassed my expectations. What was originally quoted 6 weeks to complete took 2. He made recommendations for items I knew nothing about, help choose some finishes, recommended some beautiful stone for the window and shower niche, and did all this through the best levels of communication possible. He's quick to answer emails, sends photos of all the work as it's being done, and helped prevent a potential flood disaster from occurring for the owner a floor above my apartment. I have already recommended him to a co-worker who I hope takes him on for his remodels. This is a smaller, family operated business but I felt like I was on HGTV with the Property Brothers. Emiliano Construction Corp performed a gut renovation on my bathroom and they did an amazing job. Unlike other contractors who rushed in and out of my apartment to provide me with their quote in their first meeting, Daniel was meticulously detailed with me, wanting to understand what I wanted and providing me with advice on design and what would work well with my bathroom. He walked me through the process step by step throughout the entire project and consistently kept me up-to-date on the work done and timing of completion. Once the paperwork had gone through my co-op board, Daniel was in constant communication with my super to ensure that he met the expectations of the co-op . Additionally, Daniel connected me with numerous suppliers throughout the renovation, which was very helpful since Home Depot typically has a limited selection that is very expensive. When discussing the design of my bathroom, I was very specific with wanting a classic herringbone design that wrapped around the corners of the bathroom. Professional and responsive. Gave me a quick estimate and keep me updated on my orders. I had a problematic building engineer who wouldn't respond to question or would take weeks to answer simple questions. He stayed patient and periodically contacted the building engineer. Flooring was redone with new Engineering wood. The floors look great. There are some minor gaps between panels but I assume they are because of heating/cooling effect within the apt. Cost was reasonable compared to some other contractors I contacted. Would hire him again.

The expertise of the tile installer cut and set my tile to fit the irregular sized bathroom to perfection.
