About Us

John Greenwood + Associates, also known as JGA is a Balmain-based architectural practice established in 1986, which has undertaken a diverse range of architectural commissions. Residential work has included new dwellings, medium-density town house projects, dual occupancies, alterations and additions, historic restorations and ethno-specific aged care hostels. Commercial work has included fit-outs and refurbishments to offices as well as a number of pubs and bars. Our practice by choice is relatively small. By limiting company growth we have been able to establish areas of particular specialisation. Every project receives the personal attention of a Director, who manages the project from initial discussions through to completion, in addition a talented and dedicated team of architects and designers work closely on all aspects of the project to achieve a successful outcome. The following pages feature a small selection of our work showing the high level of skill, professionalism and care we bring to every project.

We saw a beautifully renovated Californian Bungalow in a neighbouring street. We found out that their architect was Jack Huynh of John Greenwood & Associates and promptly engaged JGA. We could not be happier with the finished product. Jack interpreted and refined all of our requests and we have ended up with a beautiful home that is still sympathetic to the Californian Bungalow design and the size of the block but with so much more space, better design, better flow and tonnes of natural light. After two years being back in our home, we still can't quite believe what has been achieved and just our happy we are. We have no hesitation in recommending Jack Huynh of John Greenwood & Associates.

Jack from John Greenwood designed and ran our project. We were extremely happy with the design and it changed our living experience. His understanding of our needs and getting what we wanted into the design was amazing. Over several meeting and discussions he took from our heads how we want to live and turned it into our great new renovation. His came up with wonderful ideas we had not even thought about.
