We haven’t had the greatest experience with Jl construction. They are supposed to be installing our windows. They came last week unannounced to install, no appointment made or heads up that they were coming, and then after chatting outside for 30mins they came to the door and made the excuse of the weather, so they set up an appointment to come today (a week later). They haven’t shown up, and my husband called to ask about it and they told him they were too busy. They didn’t call to let us know. They didn’t call to reschedule, or anything…it has been super frustrating. Not a great way to do business. No communication and being pushed aside.

This client was not actually our direct client. We were contracted by “the supplier” to install windows. The order was placed during covid during a time where plastics were not readily accessible as the plant in north America who supplies raw materials was rebuilding after a devastating fire. Their windows were delayed far enough into the winter that scheduling an install would be a challenge what with all the rain we have on the west coast. We had to reschedule a couple times, and each time was met with unsavoury attitude, comments about recorded phone calls and threats of firing and wanting refunds.. this was after the first rescheduling attempt. When we had the perfect window for an installation timeline, we confirmed, reconfirmed and again the day of reconfirmed again. When we arrived, the client failed to tell us that a utilities company was installing a new service on the whole road, and happened to be digging up the clients driveway. Obviously, we weren’t going to be able to access their home with our 16 foot truck and 16foot trailer. We had to again reschedule. The client was not happy again, and fired us and asked for a refund from the supplier.

I would like to point out, that no person, employee or supplier need be subjected to the type of anger and threats this client presented. It is a lesson to us that we will not tolerate any client behavior like this in the future. I will take my one star as a badge of education.

Justin and his crew put in long hours, and long distances to get my project completed on time and under budget. Whereas other contractors quoted high, Justin's quotes were very reasonable, and he provided much context to how he quotes. His profound working knowledge in carpentry, interior and exterior construction, and general project management makes things alot streamlined and straightforward.

In recently had a shower removed and a bathtub with surround put in to replace it. Justin and his staff treated my project as if it was always their number one priority and were not happy until I was. They went over and above in my opinion to make it perfect. Everyone who worked on this project were friendly and kind. I have recommended them to friends! Jean Glougie

Justin Leclerc and the great crew of JL Construction have transformed my dark and outdated 1950's Doris Day kitchen into an open, bright and functional space. Justin was very collaborative in the designing phase listening to my ideas and wishes then offering great concepts and a final design. I was impressed throughout the whole demolition and renovation process with his and his crew's attention to keeping all areas of work and other parts of he house clean and tidy. I was continually informed of what would be "happening next" and was always open to changes if required. I am so happy with the end results and would have no problem recommending Justin for any project that may be undertaken

When we were planning our kitchen renovations, Justin and JL Construction were recommended by our kitchen designer to oversee and manage the work. When we initially met with Justin, it was clear to us that he was the right person for the job. At the start of the project, he provided us with a detailed budget and schedule for the renovations, and worked throughout the process to stay on budget and on schedule without compromising the quality of the work. Justin retained the various sub-contractors and coordinated their work and this made the process hassle and stress free, as far as we were concerned. He always ensured that the renovation areas were kept clean, which was important since we were still living in the house during the renovations. We are now planning renovations for our garage and we have hired JL Construction once again for the work.
