Independent interior design specializing in residential design, remodeling project design and management, and wine enthusiast. If interior design was an illness, then bring me to a doctor. I’m the kind of dinner date that goes to a restaurant and stares at the restaurant’s décor before the menu. My heart flutters when I see the sophistication of a classically designed Louis XVI chairs or, conversely, the clean lines of a contemporary Mies Van der Rohe Barcelona chair…and I think my heart stops altogether when they are appropriately blended together in the same space! If interior design is an illness, I guess I’m not looking for a cure. What can I do for you? Beyond designing beautiful residential interiors, I specialize in designing and managing large scale residential renovation projects, new construction planning and finish selections and every dream in-between. My goal is to present each client with different options and design choices (hopefully, some you’ve would have never thought of on your own) and implement each element artfully in that unique design plan. And, of course, we cannot forget about having some fun in the process. Innovative and elegant designs combined with exceptional customer service are the keys to our success. I love working with Laura Potter. Since we are a glass company, we usually are one of the last of the subcontractors to complete our work. I am always amazed at the imagination yet practicality that informs her designs. Laura won't let you down.

My husband and I have been through so many home remodeling projects that I'd really come to dread the idea of another remodel for the cabin we bought. Laura Potter was very easy to work with and always available for questions and calls. Because of Laura's vision and attention to detail, I actually enjoyed this project and had fun!

I hired Laura for help with a refresh/update of our main living areas and kitchen. I have only great things to say about working with her. Laura designed to keep my style and personality as the focus. She was able to use some pieces I already owned and updated them by using new upholstery and/or painting. ( Who knew that my old chair would look so great now! ) Those budget minded projects allowed us to splurge on new pieces while keeping in our total budget. I enjoyed working one on one with Laura ( no interns here! ). She makes it a fun and enjoyable process because she is passionate about what she does. I always felt comfortable saying no to something and never felt any pressure on a decision. The transformation of our house has been a delight. I have since hired Laura for bathroom/bedroom remodel that will start in the new year.

Laura helped us bring a completely new look to our family living area! She understood what we were trying to accomplish and had great insight and direction to making it happen. She was flexible working with our contractors or hers to fit our style and project budget. Really appreciated her decisiveness on what will work and the color palette is perfect! Thank you Laura!

Laura helped us decorate our family room and finished basement. She has incredible taste and has this amazing ability to combine many textures to create the right feel for the space, along with listening to our needs. Laura is so fun to work with and learn from, too.

Laura made our house a true home! She gave our new build home personality and character! Laura updated our living room, kitchen and dining space. She also gutted our mudroom to give us beautiful new built-ins and plenty of storage for our family needs. She listened to all our ideas and brought in all her charm. She was very easy to work with and kept us on budget. We will definitely use her again for future projects! We just love her!

I love Laura! She helped us refresh/update our living room decor this fall on a reasonable budget. She has a fantastic eye and decisive approach, but was open to hearing our thoughts and using existing pieces. Laura was very practical and just plain fun to work with throughout the process.

Laura designed and managed my bathroom remodel. My house is older (1925) and the bathroom needed an update for logistical (no tile around shower!) and design reasons. She listed to my needs and came up with an innovative solution to provide more storage, which was a big need. We ended up following her recommendation, which included moving a door and adding built in cabinets. The final state is beautiful. It fits in wonderfully with the rest of our home and solved our problems. We have a ton of storage now, which is amazing. The project was delivered on time, as promised. Thanks, Laura!

We hired Laura Potter for consultation and assistance on our 50's rambler upper level remodel. We found her to be quick with responses and willing to go the extra mile mile to make the design appealing. She came armed with options and alternatives and was willing to give honest recommendations and feedback. We enjoyed working with Laura and would recommend her work seeking quality design assistance and consultation.

I can't say enough good things about Laura. She listened to us and helped us completely transform our kitchen from something dark and outdated to a bright, modern space that we could never have created by ourselves. She envisioned something beautiful and made it a reality with the help of the highly skilled contractors in her network. Laura is a great communicator, organized, has an amazing aesthetic sensibility, and helped us to get the most bang for our buck within our budget. Plus, she is a lovely, funny, upbeat person -- someone you look forward to visiting with.
