We thought we would live in our home about 5 years when we bought it in March 1999. We loved the neighborhood, but the home was tiny -- not ideal for a growing family and our business, a luxury travel company that we managed virtually from our home. In 2007 we reluctantly began looking for other options in the area. But we really didn't want to move from the home and neighbors we loved. Then, we met Warren Lloyd who was especially aware of the restrictions of the historical area and was personally invested in the neighborhood as a nearby resident. He and his team designed the home of our dreams, which accommodated a more modern style while still maintaining the integrity of the 1920's - 1930's architecture. We completed the first phase (an addition that included an attached gallery, two-car garage, and office space in 2009) and completed the second phase in 2018, which included a full renovation of the original home. We travel nearly 4-5 months out of the year, but now we have a space where we can't wait to come home. It perfectly accommodates our family lifestyle with our four daughters, frequent entertaining, and desire to live in a more established, walkable neighborhood. I highly recommend Lloyd Architects, especially for projects that require creatively thinking beyond the box.

I have known Warren for over thirty five years, and have always been impressed by his engaging personality, design sense, and attention to detail. We are currently collaborating on a project in Park City that will keep us in touch for the next couple of years throughout design and construction- something that we have both been looking forward to for quite some time.

Warren Lloyd and Susan Taggert were wonderful to work with. They took the time and made the effort to understand our desires and to work them into a beautiful modern design. Our home is modern but warm and inviting and meets all of the needs we asked for - especially the use of light throughout the house and throughout the seasons. Warren and Susan's suggestions on the use of space, materials, colors, and light have created a great home for us and our family. They made the design process a lot of fun. We looked at a lot of other architecture firms before I came across Lloyd Architects. A friend showed me their website... I checked out some of their other projects in person. My husband and I chose Lloyd Architects because their houses were all amazingly beautiful homes that uniquely stood out among other houses. I was even familiar with some of their projects because they would frequently come up in conversations as houses everyone loved. We were not disappointed...we had a great experience working with Warren Lloyd and his team. They were engaged, capable, and treated our project like it was their own home. I know a lot of thought and discussion went into our plans. They listened to our ideas, added a bunch of their own, and created something that was so much better than I even imagined. The 3D modeling and rendering tools used by the team showed us EXACTLY what our house actually turned out looking like. As the outside of our house plans took shape we knew exactly how every decision affected the interior spaces of the home. We had no surprises. They did an excellent job and I give them the highest recommendation.

Our experience with Lloyd Architects was excellent from the very first meeting. We were searching for a modern Frank Lloyd Wright look with functionality that accommodates a large family. We had several discovery sessions with Warren and his team to describe and explore our needs and desired look. The attention to detail was superb. We were impressed when the team accompanied us to the building lot to explore view corridors, natural lighting, and available topography. The building footprint changed a few degrees which has made all the difference. The very first elevation presented to us was magical-- it captured exactly what we had been trying to describe and remarkably didn't change from that date forward. The final product is almost identical to that first rendering. We are convinced our builder could not have built this home without the detailed set of plans delivered by Warren's team. We recommend them without reservation.

We have a 100 year old house that we wanted to update Kitchen and a few other features but wanted to retain the historical features and look of the home. Lloyd's was fantastic. Warren Lloyd spearheads the projects and then keeps a watchful eye as he has associates take on the day to day implementation of the plan. Warren's goal is to deliver what the client wants but he knows all the options and is quick to give his advice and guidance where needed. We installed a wood fire oven inside our home and also gas lamps on the exterior. Warren and his team did all the research and ensured all could be accomplished prior to turning over to the construction company. Invoicing was very fair and Warren and team were available on-site throughout the construction process to help guide our GC. We were out of the country for most of the construction (for almost a year) and Warren and Team were our eyes/ears/ and guidance on-site during our absence. All turned out perfect. Lloyd Architect isn't the cheapest in town but take it from me, you get what you pay for!
