We contracted Port Douglas Builders (PDB) in 2007 to build our dream home. The whole experience was exceptional from the initial meetings with James and Michael to establish if PDB were going to be our selected builder to once selected the entire building process. What we really liked was flexibility they offered both in design process and ultimately the complete build. There was a team of PDB tradesman that were dedicated to the job and only primary trades like electrical, air conditioning and plumbing were externally contracted for the build. All these selected trades were easy to work with too.The PDB team were involved in all construction, site prep, foundation, block work, trusses, roofing etc. Nothing was too much trouble. James, Michael and their team we a delight to have on site. They pretty much kept to the milestones deadlines in spite of us adding significant changes and challenges. For example we had contracted a pool company to install our fibreglass pool during the early part of the house construction, unfortunately our pool installers let us down on the agreed schedule and rather than the house build being delayed Port Douglas Builders installed the pool. We were so pleased with PDB we got them to build our front gates, gatehouse, sliding gates, aggregate driveways, pool installation including all plumbing, pool fencing, landscaping, irrigation, decking, additional site drainage. We were delighted with all the fixtures, finishes and above all the way in which PDB treated us as customers. For us the main point of difference was the way in which PDB owned the project from beginning to end. We have no hesitation in recommending Port Douglas Builders. Ian and Lorraine Fleetwood

We hired Mike and James to help design and then build our home in 2012. Essentially this worked well and we were pleased with the results, despite some small hiccups along the way.
