About Us

Nicole offers personable and professional interior design & decorating services for home owners overwhelmed and frustrated by all the choices to be made for a renovation or redecorating project. Specializing in full Decorating Services for one room to full homes. She can work on your decorating project from start to finish & arrange for a 'Reveal Day' where you can see the magic put all together. Nicole is the creative direction behind her brand. She spends her days designing, meeting with clients, shopping, managing projects, and occasionally posting about it all. And when not working, she loves being a mama to her son Preston and daughter Olivia, and being creative and crafty whenever she finds time. Nicole received her BFA in Fine Arts at Indiana University in Bloomington. She was a lead designer at Ethan Allen for several years and was awarded the National Circle of Excellence. She uses a blend of her experiences and education in her design to create stylish spaces that combine function and comfort. She is genuine, creative, down-to-earth, and just who you’ve been looking for to help you design your spaces!

We asked Nicole to support us with a fairly unique request - a condo lobby shared by two households. She listened to both couples share ideas about the space, helped us think about aesthetics and functionality, as well as budgeting. Throughout the process her communication has been timely, professional, and clear. Her subcontractors are outstanding. Our installation was today and we couldn't be happier. The process and outcome have been beyond our expectations!

Highly recommend working with Nichole! Made picking out paint colors for my three rooms a snap, which is what i needed. I just can’t decide and Nichole made it easy and I love the end results!! :)

Nicole has been great! She incorporated our scattershot and sometimes contradictory style preferences into functional living spaces that perfectly fit for us. She is fun to work with and has been great at dealing with changes mid-stream on a couple of occasions. We are so thankful for her help and her eye for design! Highly recommend.

I downsized into a much smaller home and my existing furniture was out of scale and made the house feel cramped and dated. Nicole helped me create an airy and comfortable space that "feels" cozy and fits my personality beautifully - all while staying in budget. With all the time I've spent at home during 2020 I'm so thankful that I have such a beautifully curated space!

I have hired Nicole as an interior designer multiple times over the years to help with different spaces within our home. Nicole kept the project on our timeline and kept it personal to our space. I enjoyed being able to give my input & help with decisions/choices while knowing that she would give her honest opinion if we needed to go in a different direction. She even spent time with our daughter to explore ideas for her room as a “tween”girl. She offers many customized palettes designed to your preferences once she has worked with you to determine your style. I receive so many compliments when guests enter our home. She has made our home beautiful but also inviting!

Nicole is excellent. She has a lot of experience, a great vision for how to create a beautiful space, and her process allows the client to steer the design toward their individual tastes. This is the second project she has done for me and I have been very pleased with both.

Nicole made the design process fun and easy! I was so tired of buying, returning, and guessing what looked good in my home. I told Nicole my style, she came up with just the right amount of options, and helped me put it all together to create the cozy yet modern home I wanted. She used pieces I already had to tell my family story and filled in with new pieces where necessary. I thoroughly enjoyed the process and would highly recommend Nicole!

Nicole has helped me with several rooms in my home. I love that she works with some of the items you already have in your home and incorporates new pieces where needed. She is very good at knowing what your goals are in each room and helping you reach them quickly and economically. I also love that she only gives you about three options for new pieces. It’s very overwhelming when someone gives you 12 options for a lamp for example!

We have hired Nicole for a variety of projects, including a redesign of our entryway, living room and dining room in Carmel, and our entire Chicago condo. Creative, professional, straight-forward and great to work with, Nicole has made design decision-making so easy for us. We wouldn't use anyone else.

Nicole Black is an excellent designer. Her creative ideas have helped me more than once in the past. She is motivated and she takes into consideration the tastes of the customer. As well, she comes up with ideas that I would have never thought of that work well with my taste. I highly recommend Nicole as a designer/decorator.

We have used Nicole for a couple projects and she has been great to work with. She did a great job when we updated our kitchen and sunroom and was able to help us select colors that ended up looking great. She was invaluable in helping us picking out our tile backsplash that we just love. We had to work the design around existing granite countertops and it was a challenging project but Nicole did a great job. Our second project with Nicole was our master bedroom and we love how it turned out. She has a real eye for color and was able to help us find colors that we love. She helped with finding furniture pieces that fit the room perfectly. Nicole has made the whole process fun. She is a true professional.
