I can't say enough positive things about Brett and Oakwood Builders Group. They built us an architecturally complex house in a rural location and everyone, down to the last subcontractor did top flight work. Communication/cost estimates/timing of completion/quality of work/building ideas all were spot on.

Building a new home can be a wonderful experience with the right builder. Brett and Oakwood were the perfect fit for our challenging build. They came highly recommended by our wonderful architect and she was so right. The home they built for us exceeded our expectations in every way. Brett is a perfectionist and you can see that in the work they do. He always had a plan to address any issue that arose and offered his professional opinion to help guide us as we made decisions. In a very short period of time he understood our goal and vision, bringing the house to life in an amazing way. Like every project, there are always a few things to address after you move in. Brett quickly responded to our questions and addresses any issue that comes up. Oakwood is by far the best contractor we have ever worked with. They have wildly talented staff who do excellent work.

I've know Dan and Brett for over 20 years and two remodeling gigs. Years ago they added a spacious "sunny room" to our Des Moines style two story. It has become the centerpiece of our home. In the last few months they returned with suggestions to open up the rest of the floor plan to let in even more sun. Hardwood floors, a new bath, lighting, and updates to the cabinets, have completely transformed our first floor. Andrew, our go to guy, is always available for questions and constantly checking on work in progress to make sure we are happy. My youngest refers to Andrew as the newest member or our family. Work is almost complete with just a few odds and ends left and I can honestly say I'll miss the Oakwood Builders Group team when they are gone. Perhaps it's time to redo the upstairs? They installed my Master bedroom closet. They are phenomenally professional, pleasant and great workmanship. The the estimate was reasonable as well.

Oakwood Builders completely gutted and renovated a home we purchased. They rebuilt every surface - walls, ceilings, wood floors, tile floors, fireplaces, all plumbing and electrical distribution and fixtures. In addition they constructed a large covered porch and managed all of the landscaping. Every detail was thoughtfully and professionally managed. We love the new house and would highly recommend Oakwood for any job from small remodels to new construction.

Actually I have hired Oakwood Builders Group for a number of projects. I am an architect and they have been absolutely incredible to work with! They know my expectations and never fall short. If there is any questions they contact me immediately to discuss rather than proceeding. They always meet or beat their estimate. The quality of their work is unmatched in our area. I have had to opportunity to work with both Dan and Brett on several projects and they are excellent to work with. They stay on top of their jobs and have a very talented staff so you can rely on them to get the job done right.

We hired Oakwood Builders Group to do a complete re-do of our master bedroom and bathroom. Brett Bunkers was our contractor and we had an excellent experience. The bathroom area was a big job in that we tore down a wall and installed a marble and slate floor and shower along with all new fixtures, cupboards and countertop. His sub-contractors were all excellent. The work areas were cleaned up every night before the workers left and Brett stopped by daily to make sure everything was on schedule and tidy at the end of the day. Oakwood more than met my expectations - in fact, we just got in touch with them to do another job at our house. Brett is a class act and an engaging person!

In 2013 Oakwood Builders Group remodeled nearly the entire first floor of our ranch style home. The work in the master bathroom and kitchen was extensive and we are very happy with both the remodeling process and the end results. Their attention to detail is outstanding! After completion of the project they responded to our request for some minor repairs promptly. We would highly recommend Oakwood Builders Group.

Oakwood Builders did an outstanding job with the remodel of our kitchen and bath. It was a pleasure working with Brett Bunkers and his crew. They were very reliable, well organized, and completed the project on time. They worked very well with our kitchen designer even though it was a first time experience working together. They kept the worksite clean at the end of each day and went out of their way to cause as little disturbance in the livability/functionality of our kitchen as possible during the construction process. Any challenges they encountered (and there were very few) were met with a "can do" attitude and quick solutions.

Oakwood Builders Group did an amazing job for our family. We had a huge house fire and needed a full remodel including new roofing system, windows and siding. Brett Bunkers was our project manager whom is one of the owner's. Their company worked diligently through the entire process. They were competitive in pricing, extremely professional and polite, had vast knowledge on every aspect of our rebuild, helped us stay within our budget while putting together a beautiful and custom home for us. He worked hand in hand with us through the whole process and came up with many great ideas along the way. We have now been in our home since February 2013 and could not be happier with the choice of Oakwood Builders Group. I am a realtor and know many builders and have been through hundreds of new construction homes and if you are looking for fine quality workmanship choose Oakwood!

As far as professionalism goes in the trades, Dan and his crew are absolutely on top of each and every project. Oakwood is uncompromising when it comes to the finality and completion of a job. Communication is superb. The project sites are not cluttered or littered with refuse. Expectations are clear and concise. It is an absolute pleasure to work with a contractor whose traits are head and shoulders above the competition.
