Prestige Conservatories & Orangeries

We moved into our new house believing our conservatory was covered by a transferable warranty. A few bits of trim were missing and the brickwork needed repointing, not major issues in the greater scheme of things but we have tried everything to get it repaired. We have emailed repeatedly and never got any reply. We have telephoned and been promised twice that someone was coming to fix the problems but no one came. We have sent two notices of intended court action by recorded and special delivery to two different addresses we have been given and these have been returned saying not known at this address. This has been going on for months, all while our baby grandson has literally been fighting for his life in hospital. We are already stressed and could do without all this. Do not deal with this company!

Avoid this company at all costs. We signed a contract with them back in August 2018 and the works still to this date works have not been completed. Prestige have left our house un-inhabitable to the point where we have had to find accommodation and move out due to having a small family and no living space. They are an awful company to get hold of and get answers from to the point where they ignore your calls and read your text messages. They sell you a pack of lies and false promises. We are now taking this to the trading standards and small claims court as they are still failing to complete the works to our orangery/ extension. i would avoid this company as they are clearly cowboys.

Prestige were a nightmare to deal with as soon as we had signed a contract. Up until then Peter was courteous and responsive but then did not honour a commitment to give us a referral discount nor did they appear interested in any issues on site. Had to then escalate to Andy but he won't take any responsibility for anything Peter committed to! Their poor survey work up front resulted in them butchering a stone windowsill on an upper window and we were left sorting issues with leaks etc direct with their sub contractors who did the install. At one point we were left with a base open to the weather for weeks and no idea when conservatory would be built. We also had bifold doors delivered but they had no key so fitters had to change the locks! We took countless days off work and was worried sick about handing over money with no idea when it would ve complete. Had to pay subcontractors direct on days they turned up so no option to withhold payment to prestige. This had not been communicated in advance. Avoid at all costs. Have tried multiple times to follow up but they take no responsibility and pass us between themselves. They should be on rogue traders.

Very happy with my new conservatory. It has been quite cool throughout the heatwave because of the solar control glass. Only complaint is that there was a 3 week delay between the base and the conservatory being installed. All turned out great in the end though.

Had a conservatory put in by Prestige Portsmouth last summer. The woodgrain looks like real wood and it just wipes clean with a damp cloth! We are very happy with the services provided and would highly recommend.

Great conservatory product, great installation team, at times the communication was a bit lacking but overall, very happy with everything. Build quality was excellent and as a retired bricklayer I have high expectations..

Prestige gave us free roof vents as part of an offer and we are so glad we had them during the recent heatwave. The conservatory is unbreakable with them closed so thank you so much.

Had quotes for our new orangery from all the larger national companies, prices ranged from £57k - £83k. Prestige had a sale on and Peter managed to get the price down MUCH lower than our best price for EXACTLY the same specification. They even threw in ball finials and cresting for free (worth £900). We cannot put into words how thrilled we are with everything and are very happy to leave a review.

"We commissioned Prestige for our conservatory back in January but it took some time to get through planning as they rejected the first application, however, the second revision went through smoothly and work started promptly afterward. The builders came the following week and took about 3 days to do the brickwork. - they were polite and tidied up after themselves every day and we were very happy with everything. We had to wait around 10 days for the conservatory to be delivered with the erection of the conservatory starting the next day. The fitting team were very good lads and did a great job and even worked until 7pm on the last day to get it all finished off because we were going away the following morning. I do not normally leave reviews but I have read some very bad reviews on here so that's why I was compelled to defend Prestige as I can honestly say that we were over the moon with the service provided. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone."

Monday 9th April: Sales guy came to visit. No pressure and no haggling, just measured, gave a price and went. Wednesday 18th April: We paid deposit and went ahead. Monday 23rd April: Base was started (took 3 days). Monday 30th April: Conservatory was installed (took 2 days). Wednesday 2nd May: Plasterer did the walls. (1 day) Thursday 3rd May: Sat in our new conservatory relaxing whilst wife reads a book. Start to finish less than a month and cannot fault any stage of the process.

"We bought a 1890's Edwardian style property and the back of the house was a complete mess, the brickwork was covered in carbon and we really needed something in-keeping with the period to enchance this ugly, dull area. We had a staggering 6 quotes, the first two were hardwood and we almost fell over when the quotes arrived, well over the 100k mark. After this we looked into uPVC and Aluminium and decided that an aluminium woodgrain wood look just as good, not require as much maintenance and more importantly would be less than half the price. We then proceeded to get 4 more quotes ranging in price but ultimately settled on the next to lowest. This was a company called Prestige Conservatories. The Prestige Conservatories representative came out and without employing any hard sell tactics worked with us to come up with a design that did our property justice, fulfilled our needs and looked absolutely stunning. Nothing was too much trouble for Max and we were very impressed. It was at that point I think that we both had decided to use Prestige. Other companies were less interested in actually putting any effort into the design and more focused on getting us to sign on the dotted line there and then. One even used the old ""let me call my boss"" discount tactic which we both thought was shameful. In January 2018 we gave the go-ahead and the surveyor arrived the same week to get the planning application put in with Hampshire council. First week of February saw the foundations and brickwork installed. This was swiftly followed by the installations team led by Andy who worked tirelessly to get the orangery installed. The site was at all times kept tidy and all employees worked with expertise and professionalism. The finished product is to the envy of all our neighbors and we spend almost all of our time sat in our new beautiful orangery, all thanks to Prestige! We would wish to recommend Prestige Conservatories to anyone looking for a quality orangery without an over-inflated price tag."

we chose Prestige because of the price and the salesman was not at all pushy, the finished jobs for 2 bedroom windows, composite front door and Edwardian style conservatory which replaced our very old lean too style one with poly carb roof were very good and the conservatory in particular looks fantastic and the installation guys were brilliant fitting it all in 2 days, the only downfall with this company is their lack of customer communication ,and I told them this, they need to improve on this because I was continually chasing then for updates but they were slow to respond, get this sorted and they will be OK
