RemodelWest did a fantastic job with our full remodel. They were done with all major work to the day that was initially quoted, were very responsive and professional throughout, with solid communication and follow-thru. When a few speed bumps happened, as they tend to do with a major project, they were resolved quickly and fairly. Overall, the quality of the workmanship and attention to detail was of the highest calibre, definitely recommend.

RemodelWest transformed our 1970's, 1060 sq ft, one-bedroom, space-challenged townhome into a modern and classy living space. The interior was remodeled with emphasis on the kitchen and bathroom to make it more open and allow us to utilize our space more efficiently. The end product of the months-long designing, planning and construction process resulted in what feels like a brand new home. We contracted with RemodelWest after an extensive search for contractors and design/build companies to remodel what at first was only going to be our bathroom. Bill, the owner, came for the initial walk-through. Of all the contractors we met, we liked and took to Bill the most because of his open, friendly and personable qualities. He listened and understood immediately what we wanted. After talking to Bill in his initial walk-through, and then with him and his designers on a second visit about the possibilities for the rest of our home, the project grew to include our kitchen, fireplace and bedroom. It involved removing walls, raising the ceiling, changing wall-to-wall carpeting to wood floors, switching traditional doors to pocket doors, updating/adding electricals, removing old popcorn ceiling, moving and adding plumbing, installing a sun tunnel, converting an old fireplace to gas, etc. RemodelWest totally blew away the limited idea of what we thought possible for our home. We are beyond happy with the results. We didn't really have a clue about what our style was or how to begin to design our home. The designers, Debbie (the lead) and Tara, were very skilled and very patient at guiding us through the whole design process. We commend them for their creativity in imagining configurations for our bathroom and kitchen that not only made the best use of space, but focused on aesthetics and our desire for a modern feel. Debbie and Tara were able to take their notes from our design meetings and saved images from our Houzz account and translate them into the stunning home we now enjoy. Our home is not only updated and modern, but the flow of the space is amazingly improved and functionally more efficient. Natural light now illuminates the places in our home that used to be in darkness. There is a peaceful and beautiful feel to our entire home. It was a pleasure to work with each member of the team at RemodelWest. Everyone we worked with reflected the qualities we liked in Bill: easy to work with, pleasant personalities, flexible, patient, calm. We worked with Adam on the overall project and costs. He met with us weekly to keep us updated on the project as well as to discuss any concerns we had. Pat was our hands-on project manager and our liason with the sub-contractors. And equally important is Dan, who is enthusiastic and very skilled at tracking, researching and chasing down various items and vendors. The best thing we did for ourselves when we decided to remodel our home was choose RemodelWest. We moved out for 6 months and they managed everything without us having to be present. This proved to be especially helpful when we had to turn our focus away from remodeling to deal with family health issues a couple of times. Thanks to RemodelWest, the project kept moving forward without a hitch. We were able to move back in at 6 months end with a few remaining issues. In a couple months time they were resolved. Lastly, it is important to mention that RemodelWest is a company with integrity and great customer service. They truly want to make sure the home they remodel for you will be the home you love. As with any construction project, there are always aspects and details that could have gone more smoothly. That said, any issue could be brought up at the weekly meeting or in a phone call, and they typically worked to adjust or correct it. We found that they were always willing to work with us. We selected Remodel West to remodel our kitchen. The job was fairly extensive since we changed the footprint of the Kitchen completely. We were very happy with the work they did from the design through to completion of the remodel. Pat and his team were very professional and spotless! This was a big plus since we lived in the house while the remodel was being done. Having an online tool to enter product selections and monitor progress was a huge help. An even bigger plus was they finished the project early!!

In 2016 RemodelWest converted a 270 square feet sun room into a large family room complete with heating, cooling, and lighting for us. They also added a sturdy and very functional covered patio with recessed lighting. We had investigated several contractors and went with RemodelWest because of their professional approach in working with us from start to finish. We had done renovations on two of our previous homes with a different contractor and while we were somewhat satisfied with the finished product, we were very impressed when we looked RemodelWest's references, and decided to go with them. Bill Reid and his crew were extremely meticulous and courteous in understanding our needs and helping us with a design to more than meet our needs. The actual work of demolition through excavating, foundation, framing, roofing, walls, and finish were done with quality on time and on budget. Even when we had to make a couple of changes, they were done with a minimal amount of disruption. What impressed me the most was that about three to four months after the work was completed we found a couple of problems with a cracked skylight and leaky rain gutters. Bill's crew fixed these problems expediently. We are very happy with our remodel and highly recommend RemodelWest for any size remodel projects. Our's was a small/medium size project, while our son had done two major remodels in 2010 and 2015 and was very happy as well.

If you are looking for a company that pays excellent attention to detail, comes in on budget and ahead of schedule, RemodelWest is for you! Bill, Adam, Debbie, Tara and Pat were fantastic at figuring out what we wanted and how best to execute it. We have an older home that contained a few hidden surprises. The team took it all in stride, coming up with workable solutions. RemodelWest was with us every step of the way from choosing cabinets, picking out stone and placing light fixtures. We don't anticipate another remodel, but if we do, we wouldn't hesitate to use RemodelWest again. We are so happy with our new space!!!

We had a great experience working with Bill and his team. Bill is a really good, honest, family guy and these qualities are reflected in his staff as well. RW rebuilt our entire home. The team was attentive, available, creative, and patient as we worked through various designs. There was a lot to think about but RW guided us through the whole process. Bill set proper expectations on timing and price of the project. Any changes were detailed out and communication and accessibility to the team was great. Everybody was really professional and thoughtful. The team made sure everything was clean and properly put away at the end of each day which I really appreciated. Bill would often times come and inspect the project himself and he would see things that even I would not notice and have them fixed. More recently, after a few years of living in the new house, we noticed a few minor issues and Bill came out, looked over everything, and shortly thereafter had it all fixed. Bill and his staff are respectful, trustworthy, and take pride in their work. We were lucky to have found them for our project.

We chose RemodelWest to perform a remodel of our downstairs area which included a large family room, a separate game room, as well as two bedrooms and a full bathroom. Bill came out to our property when we were interviewing different contractors, and we were drawn by his personable and affable nature, as well as his grasp of what we were trying to accomplish. We wound up choosing them and then met with the design team spearheaded by Debbie, who oversaw the planning phase including a substantial number of custom cabinets, a built-in bar, a completely redesigned fireplace, as well as an updated modern bathroom. Pat was our project manager, and Adam our main project coordinator. Both were very helpful and did their best in making sure our project ran as smoothly as possible, and were instrumental in getting the project "back on track" after some minor speedbumps that inevitably pop up on every remodeling project. They also helped us on some issues that weren't even part of our initial remodel, but which needed attention as the project progressed. Bill was also available when needed, and was instrumental in talking to the numerous subs and vendors to get everything accomplished as had been meticulously planned from the beginning. All in all, we had a very good experience with RemodelWest, and the project came out extremely well, and we have received numerous compliments on the end-result from our friends, family and visitors. A job well done, and ultimately to our satisfaction!

After researching and considering about 15-20 other contractors for our major home renovation, we chose RemodelWest because they were the most detail oriented, knowledgeable, and attentive to what we wanted to accomplish. Many of the others we had met with were far too quick to tell us what we should do, prior to even listening to what our initial thoughts were. Additionally, we immediately felt in "good hands" with Bill and his team as they are genuinely great people who care about the quality of their work and that we were happy with the process and the results. After having worked with a variety of contractors for both major and minor projects, we believe that the process throughout a project is every bit as important as the end result. Through the design and construction, RemodelWest is always easy to get in touch with and they do a great job at keeping you informed of the progress and where things stand in relation to the overall schedule. They are very tech-friendly, embrace multiple communications channels and they don't rely on a napkin or scrap piece of wood to write things down on the fly. Instead, they document all the details discussed and agreed upon and make them available to you online - which is a real key for efficiency and ironing out all the details. Their sub-contractors also delivered the same quality of work, communication, and care, which is definitely not something to overlook. We've successfully completed 2 major renovations now with RemodelWest and will definitely call them first if/when the next one comes along. ~ Layne

We've been very pleased with Remodel West. Unlike other builders, they're there when they say they'll be. All of there sub-contractors are respectful & work to the schedule. They expect high quality work and will redo things that don't look right without a fuss. We've used them for two home remodels & always recommend them.

RemodelWest recently completed a kitchen relocation and remodel for us. My husband and I had talked for many years about remodeling our kitchen. We knew before we started that we wanted to go with a Design/Build firm, and once we met Bill and his team, we knew they were who we wanted to go with. From beginning to end, they were very professional to work with: Kirk and Sarah on the design front; Sarah, again, on all the design details; Jim as our lead carpenter and project manager; and Bill & Adam as overall project managers. The attention to detail was very impressive. During the design phase, they listened what we wanted, but also provided alternatives if we wanted something that wouldn’t meet code or didn’t quite make sense from a design standpoint. The quality of their work was outstanding, and if we had any concerns, they were addressed immediately. If one of the subcontractors did something that wasn’t up to RemodelWest standards, Jim let them know. Luckily, that only happened a couple of times as the subcontractors were also great to work with. We also got a weekly update as to the status of the project. It was great knowing ahead of time who to expect at the house each week, especially as we stayed in the house through the remodel. We are considering remodeling master bedroom and bathroom, and if we do, we will definitely bring them back.

Bill Reid and his team at Remodel West did a complete remodel of our 2800 sq foot home in Los Altos, CA, back in 2004. We were thoroughly impressed by Bill and his team's responsiveness and attention to detail throughout the process. Our project manager kept us informed of all developments and made sure our project got done in a timely manner. The subs he hired were too notch, too. Bill clearly takes pride in his company and his team, and it shows. 10 years later, and we're still pleased with the results!
