***Appalling communication and un-finished product delivered after a delay of over 6 weeks.
Order: 2 G-plan wardrobes with some customizations

Admittedly, our shopping experience with RetroLicious is probably the worst ever. We received prompt and good advice before placing the order. But things went downhill from then on. After placing the order and making advance payment in full, we didn't receive any information about the delivery date. It was initially meant to be within 3-4 weeks. We had to constantly ask for delivery status as RetroLicious was not forthcoming about it. We had to rely on emails as no one was available on phone, the response in return sometimes took more than 2 weeks.
It was only a month later (i.e. on Aug 15, 2018) that we were told that RetroLicious had problems with their ex-courier and that they had a huge backlog of orders to deliver. They informed us that they would get back to us with delivery date, but failed to do so.
A month later, we were left to co-ordinate the delivery with a courier service ourselves that RetroLicious hired. The first courier service dropped on the day that the delivery was meant to be made. Then, a new courier service was hired by RetroLicious. We had to again chase the courier service to arrange the delivery. On the day of delivery, it turned out RetroLicious had not paid the courier service, so that we were left to chase RetroLicious to pay the right amount and didn't have confirmation of delivery until an hour in advance.
All of this was very upsetting and a real ordeal. On top of that, the customization of the wardrobes was not of the standard claimed by RetroLicious. We found that the varnish was not applied evenly throughout, leaving clearly visible differences. There are stain marks left on some parts. The door of one of the wardrobe doesn't close completely, allowing dust to get in (pictures attached). Again our email to raise these issues is still un-answered.

I could not be more pleased with the item that I bought from RetroLicious. It is superb! Theses guys were really friendly and straightforward to deal with. I would definitely buy from them again.

If you have serious intention to deal with this seller I strongly recommend that you read this review.
I was honest with the seller and offer them a deal and they accept it.
The seller start to pretend that they didn't understand my request even I serve them photos and description of an item.
In the half of our mail conversation the seller had a chance to stop this charade, but they didn't. They confirm existence of item I want and continue with their attempt to sell me unwanted item which I refuse.
Their explanation was that they using stock photos. I didn't buy that but it's their own statement, so beware if you like any item that RetroLicious Ltd sells online, you might be surprised with delivered item... and at the end they hesitate with refund.
Damage that they done is, in a period while RetroLicious Ltd was trying to sell me unwanted item, other items that I had on my mind are sold and they cause me unnecessary stress regarding refund.
I am aware that there is 5 star reviews here and it's obvious that this seller did done some good deals and I'm happy for those people but my conclusion is that this seller is extremely irresponsible with very low ethic.

Let us establish some facts please:
1. You clearly read the item as a stock picture, we sent you pictures and you chose to cancel on the day of despatch to Sweden because you found it cheaper elsewhere.
2. You were highly abusive in your messages, if you wish we can upload all images to this review and let people judge just how nasty you were. You threatened review blackmail that if we didn't refund you sooner than our terms state, you would leave negative reviews (which you have done anyway) if we didn't refund you in time to buy a cheaper item! Our terms state allow 28 days but we told you it was more likely 7-10 days as we were out of the country. You became abusive and threatened negative feedback if we didn't pay you instantly, which we could not as we had no access to our office whilst abroad.
3. You also got it for a substantially discounted price due to a story you told us about how many years you saved up for it and you were in construction on low pay! We will never stop tying to help people regardless of this experience with you.
4. Im unsure how we didn't understand your request? You secured a sideboard at 30% discount, you then threatened us whilst we were on vacation for not replying immediately and when we gave you a shipping date within 10 days of purchase and showed you a picture in reply to your query, you cancelled and demanded a refund so you could buy another one. We fully understood you and replied accordingly but please explain any area you feel we didn't?
5. Our website states that it is a stock image, you told us in your first email you had seen it on our website, therefore Im unsure how you feel you didn't know?
6. The damage done? You were abusive both verbally and in writing, we were nothing other than polite and helpful even when boarding our plane home. We both felt very upset at the way you played us off with another dealer and how you spoke to us, it just was not necessary.
We are very sad to see that you have chosen to write this but at the end of the day, we are happy that we did our best for you despite the pretty awful things you said to us.
We wish you well with your item and hope you find a supplier who is happy to take that level of abuse.

Went to buy one sideboard from Steve and Jae and came away with 3 beautiful pieces of mid century furniture! Was great to find people who knew their stuff and cared that you got the right thing for you. I know they'll be sourcing More stuff for us! The Benson's Manchester

Steve and Jae are the Dynamic Duo when it comes to restoring mid-century furniture. They took away our tired, shabby sun-bleached teak dining table and chairs, and returned them looking fantastic. They have done an absolutely amazing job, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Steve and Jae are obviously passionate about what they do, and the cost of restoration was very reasonable. Oh, and they are thoroughly nice guys.

Absolutely AMAZING service from Steve and Jae at Retrolicious! They have provided us with an incredible service from order to delivery. They went above and beyond to make sure delivery of our furniture happened promptly and their communication with us has been exceptional throughout. Can't recommend them highly enough!
We also cannot wait to order more furniture for our new home from Retrolicious!

After some initial consultation based on our needs, Retrolicious sourced and delivered us a beautiful piece of furniture at a fantastic price. Locating the right piece and restoring it took only a couple of months, and Retrolicious delivered it to us from Manchester to London in person. They were hugely helpful in navigating it up the stairs. We love our authentic Danish bedhead! Highly recommended.

Excellent service from the lovely chaps at Retrolicious. This is the second time i have hired furniture from the show room, and as always it comes in immaculate condition. Steve and Jae understand our requirements, and work with us coming up with the easiest and most cost efficient solution. All round fantastic service, and a joy to work with!

These Guys are very committed to giving their customers an excellent service, you can tell it is a passion not just a business. I was able to find the Desk I was looking for in fantastic condition with a chair that they covered in my own material so making it tailored made to my taste. They look stunning in mine office so make working from home a pleasure. The price was very reasonable and I can strongly recommend a trip to their showrooms its like looking behind the magic curtain where things get transformed and restored to their natural beauty with love and dedication. If your in love with the mid century furniture like me this is a must. Enjoy

We are really sorry to hear that you were not happy with the experience you had with us and despite our best efforts, delivery was prevented on more than one occasion through events outside of our control however you were notified at the time of these issues and we sought to rectify the missed delivery as soon as was possible. As you are aware, the day of the first scheduled delivery, a serious accident occurred on the M6 motorway resulting in the loss of 5 innocent lives. The subsequent tailbacks, traffic and resulting delays meant that we had no choice but to cancel the delivery run due to Health & Safety laws and we immediately booked a further delivery date for you. However, unfortunately the 2nd delivery date scheduled was the same day as the terrible London Terrorist attacks which again saw a large loss of innocent lives and due to extra security at the show we were attending and the resultant security increases in London, it was not safe nor possible for us to deliver that day. Whilst we appreciate that you were upset, the level of abuse you gave us was uncalled for and we tried everything within our power to resolve the delivery as quickly as possible however your abuse and decision to cancel without understanding of the events is unfortunate. As you requested a full refund was immediately arranged and this is the first you have made us aware in a public forum of the refund not yet reaching you and in that case we can only suggest that you contact your payment provider who will be able to advise you on why the refund is not yet in your account following it leaving ours. We are disappointed that you chose to take such an abusive stance on matters outside of our control and hope that you are able to find another supplier who can deliver during a time of stability in the country.
