The commitment to staying involved in every step of the building process is important to insuring quality workmanship.
Upon entering a Reynolds Signature Home, there are a number of things that distinguish that the home was built by a woman - vaulted ceilings, large kitchens with butler pantries, oversized laundry rooms with a family desk, reading nooks and wine rooms are all design features Reynolds Signature Homes are known for.
Most customers come to Reynolds Signature Homes with some idea of what they want. We welcome those ideas and suggestions as tools to understand the customer’s vision of their finished home. Functionality is also critical when designing or remodeling a home. People want homes that look great but are also well-designed with thought given to furniture placement and entertaining spaces. Our customers tell us that our perspective helps address these important issues and create an overall floor plan that ‘lives’ better.
While some homebuilders offer the services of an interior designer or a visit to a design center, our team offers decorating and design perspective, and works closely with a homeowner’s interior designer. Choosing an interior designer is a very personal decision, much like choosing a builder. We provide clients with recommendations on interior design and layout, and can recommend a designer for those clients that want more assistance in making selections. However, some clients prefer that the design direction come from the team at Reynolds Signature Homes. The choice is yours.

As with all remodeling jobs, we consulted with you several times via
phone and in person (over the holidays) to determine a preliminary
scope of work. Home addition projects, such as yours, require
additional considerations and information. This includes surveys,
permitting and HOA approvals. Typically, clients provide us with an
existing Survey of their home. If one is not available, we can order
one at your request and expense. A client’s survey gives us critical
information to determine the possibilities for your home addition. At
this time, we also determine the scope of work and the client’s means
of payment. If a client is financing the project, we request pre-
qualification from a bank before moving forward. After financing has
been approved, selections and budget finalized and a contract is signed, we move forward with HOA approvals, engineering, then finally permitting before we can start your project.
I suspect there has been a misunderstanding of the remodeling
process that has led to some frustration. Last we spoke, we
requested you provide the survey of your home and how you would
finance the project before moving forward to finalize the project’s
scope, budgets, timelines, contracts and permitting. I would like to
stress that we spend extra time on the front end solidifying the plan.
It helps simplify this potentially complicated process and minimize the
impact an on-going remodeling project can have on you and your
family.
