About Us

Thoughtful interior design is so important to the quality of our lives! For me, design is a “calling”—my first career was as a textile and fashion designer on 7th Avenue—and I’ve been furnishing houses of every style in the SF Bay area for over 25 years. Combining my East Coast training and international travel experience with California’s fresh Pacific Rim aesthetic, I create homes that are dramatic, welcoming and FUN. Seven years ago I developed and added two niche specialties to my design business-- Universal Design and Downsizing for active Boomers. I apply practical yet elegant architectural solutions to design and remodel homes which adapt to our changing life needs. Universal Design is the wave of the future—someday, all homes will be built to include people of every age, size and ability. Until then, Robineve Interiors can re-design your home for Life. So, as a designer who loves beauty and freshness, I make homes that are warm and inviting, dramatic and fun. But in addition to the classic design projects that form the foundation of my firm, I introduce these sensible, practical UD principles for my clients to consider before we build or remodel. I suggest the design elements that make every home work for every member of the family, no matter their age, size, or abilities. I bring deep thought and caring to this work, because I know that the principles of Universal Design will be the wave of the future for all homes.

She has worked with us over the past two years on a variety of design projects, including new flooring, lighting, painting, closets and carpeting, as well as kitchen and bathroom upgrades. The sofas didn't get here on time for the time for the wedding we were having but they loaned us sofas for our event. She went over and beyond. She sat on my balcony with me to help pick out paint colors. She went the extra mile with every detail. She was careful and listened to what I said. She worked work me and even a year later I got an email from her updating me with things. She understands what you're looking for and really good at reading what will work best for you. She is wonderful and I would totally recommend her to anyone. She is very sensitive to what your needs are and wants. She will not snap out a cookie cutter project. She will listen to what you want.

Robineve helped us with a kitchen renovation this winter. She has great taste and really worked with us to figure out our style and wants. She went above and beyond when we ran into issues with our initial contractor and was very flexible on meeting times as we work long hours during the week. She also understood our budget needs and was able to suggest materials at the right price, even if we were slightly below her usual clientele's budget. We will be requesting her services again for sure and highly recommend her. Thank you Robineve!

Robineve Interiors keeps her eye on Universal Design and Aging in Place trends and developments. Based on a personal temporary disability, Robineve learned how important it is to incorporate these principles into every design so that clients of any age, size, and mobility feel comfortable at home throughout their lifespans. Her approach to design makes the home "multi-generational and flexible, so that a four (4) year old can use the kitchen counters as easily as a ninety-four (94) year old, a five-foot (5') woman can access the same shelves as her six-foot two-inch (6'2") husband, and someone with even a temporary disability can make their home work for them." We've hired Robineve to design for us, and we've done a couple of presentations with her on Universal Design. She has an eye for beauty, and can incorporate these elements in a way that is stunning and elegant, not institutional. We hope to continue to work with her on many projects.

Robineve has worked with us on projects in our home for several years. She has handled everything from a major kitchen and master bath remodel to assistance with designing a room, picking select furniture for other rooms and even a simple reupholstering of a favorite piece of furniture. Not only is she creative and a pleasure to work with, but she sometimes seems more concerned with your budget than we were! Our calls have always been promptly returned and Robineve has been very quick to follow up with vendors to ensure that the projects move forward. We look forward to our next project with her.

RobinEve is an expert in Universal Design. Critically needed by many older individuals, she designs very beautiful designs that don't call attention to themselves as "safety aids". She also believes that these features should be incorporated in all homes and that is an extremely nice feature of the work she does.

Robineve worked quickly and efficiently, took careful note of what we liked (and didn't), and gently steered us toward better choices. She listened to our budget issues and did a good job of keeping us pretty close to budget. She has continued to work on correcting a couple of manufacturing issues. She is very responsive and desires to create an environment that is pleasing, safe, and comfortable.
