Shea Homes Colorado

We live in a Shea home in Littleton, built in 2002. It is one of the most frustratingly designed homes I’ve ever lived in, and, inside in every room is off by about 1/4”! We can see it between the ceiling and top closet door frames for example, as the distance between decreases. They installed huge windows that strain my back trying to open, in most of the larger living areas including the master bedroom, which must be covered at night or the close-by neighbors will see all. . One is behind the kitchen sink so can’t be opened anyway without crawling onto the counter. The master tub/shower combo has such a huge step into it, and from a slippery tile floor, that it’s everyday dangerous. The tiny bathroom window for airflow can’t be reached by me except on tiptoes and there is no master bath air vent. Some plug outlets were installed upside down so we can’t plug in more than one larger plug at a time. I could go on and on …. This house has not been remodeled since its initial build. From my experience, they build for looks, not for use.

We have been working with Shea Homes to build our first house. They have been extremely knowledgable and helpful and an absolute pleasure to work with this far.
