I had very bad experiences in dealing with Simon Halliday/Aspen Homes Pty Ltd. If any of you is already involved with Simon Halliday/Aspen Homes Pty Ltd, please think twice and take appropriate action depending on your circumstances/scenarios to be on the safe side so that you don't get exploited financially like I was by Simon Halliday/Aspen Homes Pty Ltd. # BACKGROUND (i) I live in Canberra and I had a block of land (Bonner, ACT) under the Land Rent Scheme in ACT till SEP 2014. In the last quarter of the year 2012, due to unexpected changes in my financial situations, I decided to get out of the land rent scheme and thus I started looking for a potential buyer for the block. Simon Halliday, on behalf of Aspen Homes Pty Ltd, showed an interest in my block and made the following business propositions to me. -> Aspen Homes Pty Ltd would find a buyer for the block of land and provide service to the new buyer under Land and Home Package scheme. -> In the case of no buyer was found, Aspen Homes Pty Ltd would buy the land. -> In return Simon Halliday/Aspen Homes Pty Ltd would pay all the outstanding rent accumulated at that time for the land to the ACT Revenue Office. -> Would pay me the amount of money AUD 29005.77, I invested on the block (Stamp duty, fences, contour plan, rent) -> Would pay rent for the land that might accumulate during the selling phase of the land under the responsibility of Aspen Homes Pty Ltd. I accepted the Simon’s business proposition as mentioned above. # CURRENT SITUATION (i) -> Simon Halliday disappeared without paying me the outstanding money (AUD 19,005.77) he/Aspen Homes Pty Ltd owes to me for my land - in Bonner, ACT. -> Simon Halliday is NOT reachable at all and his mobile number has been disconnected since Feb 2015 (approx). -> The phone number of the head office of Aspen Homes Pty Ltd has been disconnected since Feb 2015 (approx). -> The "Letter of Demand" and "Invoice" which was issued to Aspen Homes Pty Ltd's head office address were returned to my postal address with label "UNCLAIMED". -> Simon Halliday is not reachable at all (through any contact channel -email, phone) and he has disappeared. -> Aspen Homes Pty Ltd's website is NOT accessible anymore and head office number is disconnected. At this stage I have no doubt in my mind that I have been a victim (Financially) of a fraud/exploitation/business misconduct/business mislead by Simon Halliday/Aspen Homes Pty Ltd. Simon Halliday/Aspen Homes Pty Ltd is simply trying to get away without paying me the outstanding money He/the company owes to me.
