Shona at SMB Interior Design recently designed and furnished two luxury apartments as show homes on a recent development on the Bournemouth Coast. Her professionalism and enthusiasm was extremely infectious and made the process very enjoyable. The design, furniture and fittings really made the homes look exactly how we agreed on the mood board, and we are very pleased with the end result. Shona is a pleasure to deal with and we would have no hesitation in recommending her services, equally we look forward to working with her on future projects.

I employed Shona to dress two of our brand new showflats. Selling for between £595k to £1.4m, we were looking for a top spec finish for the best price. We felt she did a great job! We found that she delivered a no nonsense service, she provided mood boards & asked for regular feedback. She was self sufficient in terms of the installation process and as a developer, I would not hesitate to use her again.

Shona did a great job but let herself down after we discovered the carpet she recommended and sold us was severely deteriorating after just 6 months use. It was extremely expensive Westex Silken Velvet and though it looked amazing after it was laid, it quickly deteriorated. I gave SMB the opportunity to rectify the issue but I was repeatedly told to go to to the manufacturer or the local supplier they a ourced it from, both of whom said that I was not there customer. I am now having to pursue SMB in the small claims courts.

Really helpful throughout the process. Gave lots of advice for the redecorating and choosing of things like light fittings and paint colours etc. Answered all my questions promptly and worked really hard to get the best for our budget. The installation went smoothly and quickly and the house looks amazing!

Shona, from SMB Interiors, was friendly and helpful from the start. They dressed our house to sell, providing specific advice and hints along the way, all of which we Shona was really easy to deal with and the end product is fantastic - the house looks great, which we would not have been able to do without her. The work was done quickly, as we had a date to get to market, which they met with ease. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

As private clients we've found smb interior design excellent. Shona listened to our rather vague (and at times misguided) ideas for renovating our Victorian house and came up with creative proposals in line with our wishes. She has been very patient in changing designs to produce precisely what we wanted. Her communication has been fast, constructive and always pleasant. We appointed SMB to decorate, furnish and fit a show flat on a large complex for us, having had several other quotes. I found Shona excellent to deal with, efficient, fast to respond with accurate and clear quotes. The work was carried out quickly under some time pressures and in time for the launch weekend as required, with no hassle and regular, clear communication. The finished product was better than I'd hoped for with fresh, modern design and has helped us sell numerous flats already. Also it came in under budget which is always a bonus!! We hired SMB Interior Design to stag and photograph four different rooms in a purpose built student accommodation unit aimed at university students to assist our marketing efforts. Shona Bates from SMB was able to work to our tight deadlines and budget to deliver our requirement. We were pleasntly surprised with the outcome.

I "found" Shona on House Wow when looking for some assistance in dressing a renovation project that would soon be for sale. Shona quickly responded to my enquiry, and and appointment was made within a couple of days. The property was in the middle stage of renovation but Shona quickly " got" me and my vision and pointed out some areas that I could save money on. Although I initially wanted advise on dressing the property, Shona suggested providing scaled drawings which not only could be used for dressing the property, but included the positioning of the first fix electrics and plumbing. - all of which were very useful. I wish I had engaged Shona's services earlier on in my project, as unfortunately I could not take on-board all of her great ideas and suggestions as we were a little too far ahead with the project. Shona has some lovely ideas, works within the clients budget and provides great attention to detail and excellent communication skill - Im really pleased I " found" her !
