When we started the process of building our forever-dream home we quickly realized the overwhelming amount of choices and decisions that had to be made, and knew we needed help. Our architect recommended Sommer, and we’re so grateful he did. Sommer really helped organize and narrow down all the decisions we had to make, starting with the initial house design with the architect, all the way down to cabinet design, light fixtures, flooring, paint, doors(including knobs/handles & hinges), and trim. She really listened to what we wanted and presented us with her ‘vision’ for each room which included a few choices for us to decide between. On the rare occasion we weren’t sold on a design idea, she very patiently listened to our feedback, helped us understand the big picture, and when needed, adjusted the design to make sure we were 100% happy while maintaining an overall cohesive design throughout the house. I truly don’t think we would be living in our dream house right now if it weren’t for Sommer’s guidance and abundance of patience. My husband and I highly recommend Sommer and are so thankful that we got to work with her to make our dream a reality.

Sommer is awesome! When my husband and I downsized and moved across the state, I was actually frozen in our home of choice. I thought, what have we done and for sure we have bought the wrong house. This will never work out nor would it ever come together with what I had. Sommer truly had the ability to pull together a look that has so much character and warmth. My house now feels like home that incorporated the things that I loved, mixed with some new an old things to give a comfortable and inviting look. Not a showroom or catalog look but a look that was ME!!! Sommer was so easy to work with and with her organized and methodical approach it all came together. She is truly gifted and has an eye not only for the big picture but for detail. Not everyone has this ability. I think I have so many favorite places in my home, but my cherished of places is a little sitting room off my kitchen with a gallery wall that is mixed with years of art work I had collected. I have had so many compliments on my home and now, I honestly feel proud. Not only do I feel like I have a new friend but I would highly recommend Sommer for a new build or a remodel or in my case a downsize home.

When we first began our major remodel, I knew I would need guidance and am so thankful our contractor recommended Sommer. She was immensely helpful every step of the way - from meeting with our architect and planning the best flow for our family, to choosing where to put light switches and fixtures, to selecting furniture and the finishing touches - we could not have done this without her! She was also very patient with my husband’s and my very different tastes and was able to create beautiful spaces we both love. It was important to me for our home to have a classic, timeless, and inviting feel and that is exactly what Sommer created for us, with the perfect mix of old and new. She was so thoughtful down to the very last detail. I highly recommend Sommer and will absolutely be reaching out to her again when we are ready to remodel our master bath and bedroom.

I absolutely loved working with Sommer on my master bathroom project! My contractor and I had a pretty good plan for the layout but I wanted help with colors and the myriad of fixtures and finishes. Sommer stepped in and gave me two great options very quickly. Since we were already in the demo stage, that was huge! She worked diligently to get tiles, vanities and fixtures ordered and delivered in a timely manner so the project wasn’t delayed. I cannot gush enough about how beautiful my bathroom turned out! I never would have put together the look on my own, but it was EXACTLY what I wanted! I will definitely be calling Sommer again for my next project!

Sommer did a great job decorating our downstairs for us. From helping us buy & coordinate furniture to picking out all the small pieces, she really came through and brought our modern vision together. Our living room, bedroom & dining room looks like it came straight from a magazine and we love it!

I found Sommer and other Interior Designers on Houzz after looking at their portfolio. We met with many of them at our home and decided to partner with Sommer because of our comfort level communicating with her, her design ideas, and commitment to the project. Our house was a complete renovation which required ~6 months of construction, everything needed updating. Sommer assisted us with the overall layout, interior/exterior paint colors, plumbing/lighting fixtures, cabinetry details, appliances, any and all thing necessary. She would meet us at the house, jump on the phone with us, respond to text messages, and communicate with our general contractor. I can't remember the exact number of times, but she was always willing to meet us at the house if we needed clarity on anything. Sommer was instrumental in helping us bring our dreams to reality. Our house was no easy task, but with her services, our dream became reality. I can't thank her enough and we appreciate all of her work more than words can describe!!

Working with Sommer on our house renovation project was a really pleasant experience! I chose Sommer to help us because when I saw the pictures of her projects, I could imagine how people live in there. She blended all different elements in a space but yet seemed to be effortless and timeless. From that moment, I was pretty sure Sommer was the person that could help us create a space that not only comfortable to live in but also with nice details. It turned out that I made the right decision hiring her. Throughout the entire process, Sommer had always kept functionality, our budget and living style in mind. She did not encourage us to buy expensive furniture or using trending colors, she was able to work with what we already had and add new elements that all come together to create a space that is simple, bright, and has many pretty details that we love to live in. I cannot wait to work with Sommer on our next project!

A guest walked into our home and immediately exclaimed “Your home looks like something out of a magazine.” We initially asked Sommer to design the family room in our home, once we saw how she transformed that one room, we immediately asked her to add the kitchen, study, dining room, formal living and guest room. Sommer was conscientious about cost and preference. She was able to incorporate our personal keepsakes into a professional design. Our home is now warm and comfortable and yet beautifully decorated. The only thing more pleasant than the outcome, was the experience. Working with Sommer was a joy.

I always thought I was successful at pulling together my own "eclectic" (now code for scattered) design style. When we decided to remodel the kitchen/family/breakfast area, I knew I wanted additional feedback. Thank goodness we found Sommer. She provided the thoughtful guidance, and delicate feedback that we needed to keep us in line with a cohesive design. Her project presentation included so many ideas I would have never dreamed of, all of which we implemented and it looks fantastic. With the kitchen, and overall design, the key word we kept going back to was "timeless." I don't want to re-do this kitchen again in 10 years...which seems to be what happens in every house. We wanted something that would last, and I am convinced this will. Sommer's pricing is completely straightforward with no hidden or unexpected charges. She was extremely flexible with meetings and would always make an extra effort to meet with us on the fly when questions or concerns arose during the building process. We have quite a bit of art and have been so pleased with how Sommer curated our collection making each piece stand out in a way it had not before. Being a bit of a control freak was my greatest challenge in hiring a professional. Letting go and putting trust in Sommer was the best of all the design choices we had to make.

Sommer is incredible! We hired her to transform our office, dining room, kitchen, living room, master bedroom and master bathroom. I had never worked with an interior designer and she made it so very easy. We are busy professionals, and Sommer was incredibly patient with us to make decisions, find a time to meet, and even helped oversee furniture deliveries, handled drape pressing, and returns...we honestly couldn't do it on our own without her expertise, hard work, professionalism and kindness. Sommer had so many creative ideas that I would have never thought of on my own. She always kept in mind that I have small children and large dogs when selecting items for my home. She worked with me to build a distinct living space that is uniquely our own. I now look forward to hosting and giving guests a tour of my home. I would hire Sommer again without any hesitation and would HIGHLY recommend her to friends and family!

I knew I needed a functional laundry room, but I wasn't exactly sure what made it so completely dysfunctional. Plus, I had a really small space to work with and wanted to fit a lot into it. Sommer knew how to get all the function I needed into my laundry room and made it look lovely.

We hired Sommer to assist us with paint colors throughout our entire house. We purchased a house built in 1914 and we were having all interior walls completely sanded down for a fresh new start. Sommer listened to the look we were going for and picked out the perfect colors for every single room in the house. Our biggest challenge was finding the perfect shade of pink for a little girls room and she found exactly what we were looking for. We would absolutely hire her again for any future projects.
