I would highly recommend Southland. While building a custom home is stressful for everyone, Conor was always available to address any issues and make the process as smooth as possible. We are so happy with our home and will work with Southland again if the opportunity arises.

We completed construction on our house built by Southland Homes in October of 2013. The project went very smoothly and was completed on time. Everyone at Southland Homes was very responsive and easy to work with. Being a first time home builder I was apprehensive and nervous making big decisions. They were very knowledgeable and patient with me and walked me through each step. I couldn't have been happier with my experience.

This was our first custom home build and going into it we really weren’t sure what to expect. After having met with several builders in the area we chose Southland Homes to renovate this home in the Historic Heights. Owner, Colin Shelton provided the intangible that we simply weren’t getting elsewhere – that is a comfort level that we would be guided through the process openly and honestly, while the importance of personal preference, quality, and budget considerations all remained very high. As we are now nearing completion now, we could not be more pleased with our decision to go with Southland Homes. Anytime there was a challenge or surprise, our superintendent, Conor, was quick to present us with our options. Their communication has been excellent. Being in a service industry myself, I’ve often joked with these guys that I need to have them come teach a class for my team.

Southland Homes has a great team to work with, and I love their beautiful homes. They have been very professional to work with, and their homes have amazing details.

Southland Homes of Texas is an exceptional team. They have an eye for details that many builders do not. From plan design to trim to the color choices, we had great communication and follow through in all steps of the process. Building a home is a huge task and having a home builder in tune with clients' needs is a must! I would recommend Southland Homes to anyone building in the Houston area.

After completing substantial research, contacting several builders, reviewing a number of their completed and in progress projects in historic Heights, Houston,, I selected Southland Homes. My selection was based on quality, knowledge of building in a historic area, referrals, the ability of Colin Shelton, Owner, and his team to effectively communicate with myself and my architect and design team, and the ability to meet my budget. Before, during and after the completion of my project, Colin and his team were always available to offer expert advice and to navigate issues that always arise in the extensive renovation and addition to a 100+ year old home. Colin's integrity and honesty are unmatched. I would highly recommend Southland without reservation.
