studioplusthree is an award-winning architecture practice based in Sydney. Our studio works across architectural, arts, and cultural projects. Our design approach is contemporary, but values the traditional qualities of craft and materials. We approach all our projects with these same values, whether they are family home, and exhibition design, or an art installation. Established in 2014, our studio works with cultural institutions, companies, families, and private individuals across Australia. Founded by directors Simon Rochowski, Julin Ang and Joseph Byrne, the practice draws on their experience of working with studios and clients both in Australia and overseas. Our approach is contextual, responding to the urban environment and informed by the surrounding landscape. We work closely with each of our clients to produce work that makes a positive contribution to their lives and to the urban environment. The studio approaches all its work using a common set of values, with projects undertaken in a spirit of collaboration with our clients and design teams.
