About Us

Spirit Tahoe Interior Design & Gallery is a full service Interior Design Firm. We are proud to feature three full time professional designers. Our Interior Design Gallery is open to the public and our inventory features exciting and current ‘Mountain Modern’ furnishings, art work and other unique pieces. Our inventory includes work by local artisans and pieces from around the world. Our design team believes that a well-designed home is an investment in your home as well as your happiness. Our interior design firm is built on our clients’ expectations, and each designer is fully committed to exceeding those expectations – building each design unique, functional, and beautiful. Spirit’s designers are eager to partner with all clients, no matter the size of the project.

Spirit Tahoe designed the remodel of our condo. Amazing! We had a short time frame to redo a 2 bed 2.5 bath top to bottom. Spirit was timely with proposals, designs and stayed relatively within budget (getting materials is an issue with suppliers, not Spirit) and produced a stunning condo that we will love for years to come.

We were introduced to Debbie at Spirit Interior Design through our realtor when we bought our cabin in Truckee. There wasn't a stick of furniture in it to start and we wanted to get up and running fast. But with two active little boys we didn't have a lot of time to make that happen. In under two months Debbie has helped up select and order most of the furnishings we need to start enjoying the mountains. We were thrilled that most of the big items were installed by our first visit and the rest should be there by next time. Wow. Thank you Debbie!

Carrie Conway of Spirit Tahoe led the planning and design of a "to the studs" remodel of a 1980s ski house. She brought fresh ideas, creative solutions to problems, and a terrific black book of sources. Under her leadership we transformed a dreary. faded brown box into a vibrant modern home. Carrie was very collaborative; she was open to others' ideas but unafraid to express her own. She was very respectful of our budget and worked with us to find the right balance of custom-made and mass market items to make the most impact. Her knowledge of materials and finishes was superb, but she was always pragmatic, understanding that we did not want a high maintenance home as our ski house.

We hired Carrie Conway from Spirit Interior Design to help us through the end of the architectural phase, the materials, lighting plan, interior finishes and furniture of our new mountain home in Truckee, CA. Carrie was able to see our vision from the houzz and magazine photos we liked and help shape our home into a beautiful family friendly retreat. I appreciated her honesty, easy going manner and ability to work well with both us and our contractor., Scott Gunter. There were so many large and small decisions to make and we would not have the house we enjoy today without Carrie at Spirit Interior Design.

Debbie and her team at Sprit Tahoe have done an excellent job designing our cabin in Martis Camp. They listen to our ideas and come back with brilliant, yet practical suggestions with plenty of options for all aspects of the design. It has been my experience that they have not only grasped our vision for the cabin, but have greatly improved it. It has been a pleasure working with everyone in the office and I cannot wait for the completion of our cabin, at which time I will be sure to post pictures.

The company was very proactive in giving me all the information I needed about the design process and the options I had for the interior of my condotel. I felt very clear and assured throughout the process that my condo would look exactly as I imagined. They emailed me PDFs of all of the accessories they recommended and always asked for my opinion and approval for each step of the process. I was very happy with their professional service. Highly recommended.
