Unhinged Custom Doors

We've used Unhinged Custom Doors for 2 kitchens and 5 bathrooms and have been happy with everything. They didn't install for us as we were doing a new build in one instance and a complete house remodel in the other and so had our builder and gc do the installs. I *love* that they sequence match. It makes the whole kitchen look high end.

Update: The owner did eventually give me back the entire $2000. It took a very long time. I gave this company a $2000 deposit for design and construction. The designer gave me some basic plans, but she didn't even have the measurements correct, which is pretty important in a kitchen remodel. After some thinking I asked for my money back, allowing them to keep $500 for the design service. That was TWO YEARS AGO. I have received nothing back from them!

Unhinged/NW Homeworks was fantastic. My heart was set on IKEA cabinets, but I wanted a custom look. Tim showed us ways to combine IKEA and custom fronts for both economy and style, and the Urbo line was perfect for us. Tim worked with us and allowed us to part out the remodel. Our only headaches came from our own subcontractors - Tim and his crew were incredibly professional and skilled. Our house has no level walls/ceilings, but they made it look perfect. Even the high-end appliance installers commented on the quality of the cabinet installation! We've received so many compliments from people surprised that the insides are IKEA! Would work with Tim, Vasiliy and crew again in a heartbeat!

We used unhinged custom doors for a complete kitchen remodel. We really wanted to use Ikea, and we were originally going to order our doors from Semi Handmade, but coordinating timing on delivery from LA to work with a complicated kitchen remodel made us nervous. That is when we discovered Unhinged! We used Northwest Home Works for our installation so coordinating the doors was really easy. They built our kitchen design and then figured out exactly what we we would need (another thing we had been worried about with Semi Handmade). Our house was built in 1902 so we really wanted a kitchen that was modern but also in line with the traditional nature of our house. The shaker doors were perfect for this, and, even better, Unhinged helped coordinate professional painting (you can also paint them yourselves). The whole experience of ordering was painless- we got to dictate exactly what we wanted, but all of the logistics around placing the right order, paint, timing were taken care of beautifully. Other things that really impressed me about this company: - I really appreciated their flexibility. Redoing a kitchen requires 101 decisions and I was really stressed about the paint color for our lower cabinets. Tim had no problem letting me wait until the last minute to make a decision. - The company that painted our doors had one small blemish on one of the cabinets. It was so small that it took us weeks to notice, but when we pointed it out, Tim's team came that week to pick up the door and have it repainted free of charge. As far as the doors go, I think they make a standard Ikea kitchen look really special. Everyone who sees our kitchen is shocked that it is Ikea- and that is 100% due to the doors. The doors they replaced were these old oak doors from the 70s (heavy!) so when we originally got the doors we thought they were too light, but they have held up beautifully- no complaints there. We are putting in Pax wardrobes in our guest bedroom and we absolutely plan to use Unhinged doors for the project! As a side note, if you are using Unhinged doors, we we absolutely recommend NW Home Works for installation. Really great to work with- made us want to remodel our whole house :)

Custom cabinet doors and end panels installed for Ikea cabinets. Very good quality and extremely professional installation. Would not hesitate to work with Tim again in the future. Overall excellent, and fairly priced.

Tim, we are SO IN LOVE with our new kitchen! The UNHINGED CUSTOM DOORS completely make this kitchen what it is! My inspiration was 'grandma's beach' and these truly have that laid back, beachy, driftwood look that we were going for. Not only does the product look and feel like milled driftwood (if you could even do that), but the beauty is in how you match the grain all along the cabinets horizontally AND vertically....SIMPLY STUNNING! We are also spoiled when it came to your professionalism, kindness and dedication to craftsmanship. Your team did a phenomenal job, from tile to ceiling!
