Wood veneers are my primary medium. They provide an environmentally sustainable palette of the world’s finest woods, so that mappa burl’s amazing grain can become the focus of a stunning coffee table. My work often features the lost art of hand-cut marquetry, as used to decorate an elegant ebony writing desk. The greatest satisfaction comes from projects that showcase great design and craftsmanship to become a home’s centerpiece, such as an elegant table with marquetry that reflects the tranquility of a koi pond.
