I’ve been working with Megan and Regina for a few months now, and I’m grateful for their help and work towards finding what my family needs and wants for our family room. (That’s all we can afford at this time, and I will be working with them as we slowly remodel our home that has some design issues that impede us from easily decorating without professional help.) We moved here from a different part of the country, and what worked in our previous home doesn’t work here. I was unsure and frustrated with trying to find what we need and want without assistance. I was at a loss. I found Doora while exploring downtown Ventura. I wasn’t sure I would use a professional design firm for just one room so I held off until I realized I couldn’t do it myself. I’m so glad I finally reached out and asked for help from Megan. Megan and Regina understand budgets, “get me” and my vision, are absolutely lovely to work with, listen, pay attention, and are warm and welcoming. Doora has connections to other providers/tradespeople/professionals so they can provide a full spectrum of services if desired. This is a full-service shop, and you’ll pay for that work, experience, and expertise. If you’re looking for something cheaper, use the designers at furniture stores. There’s nothing wrong with that. It all depends on your circumstances. If you want more personal, intensive, white-glove service, then I highly recommend Megan and Regina at Doora.

Getting the design help was critical for us to make progress, see a day of completion and celebrate our home once installed. We arrived ! This was done through the pandemic times, supply chain issues, and adjustments because of what cannot be obtained - all beyond the control of this design firm or the manufacturers. Yet, we are now in a home that we enjoy. Megan Berle, our designer, understood our vision (including our wish for vibrant colors) and we got there together. Thank you Megan and Doora.

Such a sick shop - super cool stuff + ordered some custom pieces as well. Basically furnished our whole addition + dining room. Great staff, very helpful and an awesome owner who seems to have a great eye for stylish (non-trendy) merch. I'm kind of a regular now.

Impeccable with every detail. My husband and I are fashion designers, so it was important for us to find an established designer who would understand our unique vision. Antoinette has great presence, determination, but most importantly, she has a great fucking eye for design, and we would work with her and her team again. We redesigned our entire showroom from top to bottom with Antoinette, and we couldn't be more excited to have our clients experience the new space. We explained the vision for our showroom, and they let us be as involved as we liked, while also guiding us to make great decisions. From going over floor plans, choosing furniture, explaining inspirations, installing light fixtures, and paying for their services - everything was easier than anticipated. They handled the things we did not have time to do, and even source contractors for us. To say this was worth the investment, is an understatement. Throughout the whole process, there were no feelings of stress or anxiety, I knew that they could handle everything.

Doora's amazing Antoinette and her team helped design my great room and master bedroom. They are so easy to work with, creative, they listen, they have a TON of incredible products to choose from, which made it easy to find what I wanted.

Antoinette is so sweet and did an amazing job with a custom sofa and beautiful custom coffee table! We definitely recommend Doora for your custom furniture needs and the store in Downtown Ventura is so great and has a lot of beautiful furniture.
