Our renovation journey with Makings has been a straightforward and painless experience. After our initial meeting with Shaun Makings, we felt confident that our needs and requirements were understood. Subsequently, those ideas have been transformed into what we now call our ‘dream kitchen’. We also could not be happier with both the bathroom and ensuite renovations. The Makings team displayed professionalism, creativity and attention to detail and we were particularly impressed with our project manager, Bevan. The project was completed within budget, and although the completion date was extended, this was due to circumstances outside of Makings control. We could not recommend the services of Makings of Fine Kitchens & Bathrooms highly enough. Mark & Michele

Before we found Shaun, Cristina and the team at Makings, we had a lot of reservations about the renovation process. We had a few quotes from various places that were essentially zero detail and 'just trust us'. It was our first time undertaking renovations and it's also our first home; we had no idea what to expect and were worried that this was what just how it was. But when Makings answered the call, our entire outlook changed. We couldn't have hoped for a better team to help us navigate this for the first time. Patience, understanding and a dedication to making it happen were the cornerstone of their process and I am just so happy with the outcome. I had a clear vision for what I wanted, and Mark was incredibly understanding of this and very accomodating of all my requests. Then Bevan and the team brought it to life perfectly. Everything from taking the time to produce samples for me, to advising on tiny details that I thought only I would care about was never too much to ask of anyone. Overall, the level of care and attention to detail matched ours, and that made it such a trusting and enjoyable experience. I have already and will continue to recommend Makings to anyone who asks, and we can't wait to work with them again on future projects. We couldn't be happier, five stars is not enough.

We are so thrilled with our beautiful new kitchen. Thank you so much Shaun, Cristina and Bevan for all of your patience, advice and guidance. This is the kitchen of our dreams and it has changed our lifestyle dramatically. Our kitchen makes parenting three children and entertaining so much easier and more enjoyable. The whole team at Makings of Fine Kitchens & Bathrooms were exceptional. Our whole project was well thought through, well planned, and executed to perfection. The team onsite were fantastic and were very accomodating with all my questions and input! They were always on time, took care to clean up, and ensured that I was fully aware of what works were happening when so that I could plan my movements. With two small kids around, it was very much appreciated. Shaun was great when I showed him products I liked, and gave me invaluable advice on the practicalities of certain products I liked. The contractors that they bring in (Jessie the tiler, and the electrical team from Evan Jones) were amazing. I have been happily cooking in my finished kitchen for 6 months now, and I am still chuffed every time I come into the space. Even the planning out of drawers, cupboards, etc. has worked out perfectly. I would recommend Shaun and his team without hesitation. I am looking forward to updating more bathrooms in the future just to have the team from Makings of Fine Kitchens and Bathrooms back!

We recently had a new kitchen designed and installed by Makings of Fine Kitchens & Bathrooms. I can't recommend them highly enough. They were so helpful throughout the design process making recommendations about how the kitchen should be laid out and what colours work together while taking into account my requirements and letting me know about aspects I would not have thought of. The installation phase was smooth and the quality of the workmanship outstanding. Each day my house was left neat and tidy, no debris no rubbish. Communication throughout the process was terrific I don't think I ever had to repeat a request as it was always passed onto the relevant person. All tradies... electricians, plumber etc used by Makings met the same high standard. The end result is a high quality kitchen that I absolutely adore. I have been using it for a few weeks now and the layout works perfectly. Nothing I would change at all. Thank you Makings!!

We had a kitchen renovation done by Shaun, Cristina and their team at Makings of Fine Kitchens and Bathrooms. They also transformed an unused bedroom into a butlers pantry plus a study. From the first meeting, we felt comfortable with Shaun. All of the tradies were exceptional. Everything was organised for us, which was excellent. The results are amazing - we couldn't recommend them highly enough. Will definitely use them for future projects.

My "go to" business of professional renovators. I just love collaborating with Shaun, Mark and the team. The design of this compact art deco bathroom and laundry was always going to be challenging but WOW it looks great and I'm so happy with how its come up!! This is my 4th project with the Makings of Fine Kitchens and Bathrooms, the second for this investment unit and their work continues to be outstanding. The work undertaken was of the highest standard and every detail important. They made the renovation experience an absolute joy. The renovation was completed in such a tight timetable to meet a small window in which the tenant was going to be away. Disruption to the rest of the building was kept to a minimum. Once again thank you and I've already planning my next renovation job.

I love my 'New' Townhouse! What a transformation - all my friends and family are bowled over on how great it looks and can see the quality of the workmanship on the finishes. I absolutely love coming home to my updated townhouse. Shaun and his team transformed my dark, tired 1990s townhouse into a fresh modern welcoming space. From start to finish Shaun was always available to answer all my questions and was able to work with me in making my ideas a reality. As he project managed the whole extensive renovation, I didn't need to stress about organising plumbers, electricians etc, which made the whole experience much easier and enjoyable. With Marks 3D renderings I was able to visualize what the end result would look like. Complete renovation of kitchen and dining area with wall being removed. At all times team were courteous, professional and exacting in their work. The only negative was time frame which was partly due to engineers report. We are extremely satisfied with our new kitchen and can highly recommend Makings of Fine Kitchens. I will use them again for other projects.

We contracted Shaun Makings and his team to help renovate our 90's house in Sherwood. It was tired and needed new kitchens and bathrooms within the broader renovation. We knew what we liked and Shaun's catalogue of completed projects fitted our desired style perfectly. From initial concept discussions through to handover, Shaun and his team were fantastic and took much of the normal stress out of the renovation process. The quality of their cabinetry coupled with their in-house designs makes the finished product very high-quality. The team worked great with other contracted trades throughout the project and delivered on time! We are thrilled with the finished product.

My first experience in hiring Shaun and Mark to renovate a family members bathroom was nothing but exceptional. Absolute professional service and project management produced a fantastic result to meet a deadline for this rental property. Daily contact and the fact that Shaun was onsite everyday to oversee and resolve any potential problems in this older apartment resulted in a smooth renovation. Shaun's advice and product knowledge of fittings and fixtures altered the selection specified and a very happy client. All products were installed beautifully and unusual requests for lighting and mirror were sourced with the industrial style in mind. Nothing was too hard for this company. Attention to detail with a friendly approach. Shaun and his team created a fantastic new kitchen for our purpose and enjoyment. From functionality and lighting considerations to creating more space - all aspects were carefully considered. A change of plans prior to completion hardly caused a ripple with this team as they worked with us to accomodate our concerns and came up with a workable solution. We engaged Makings of Fine Kitchens & Bathrooms to deliver a full internal renovation of our house including kitchen and bathrooms. We found them to be very professional in their dealings with us from the planning stages through to project completion. A detailed written scope and works program was developed and fixed estimate provided. They fully explained the estimate to us and the order of work. Upon acceptance to the quote a proper contract was prepared and accepted. During the works they keep us informed and worked with us when minor variations were required. Most importantly, the works were delivered on time and to the agreed quote. Quality of workmanship was very high and nothing was to much trouble for them to change. They also returned after a month or so and performed a check on the works and carried out minor adjustments. Overall, we were very satisfied and have recommended the company to a number of our friends.
