The brief was intentionally simple; a family home with 4 bedrooms and a large kitchen & entertaining area. We didn't want to constrict concepts as we had looked at generic home builders and felt there was opportunity for something more bespoke they were not providing. Alvaro Architects delivered a design that not only incorporated the unique shape of the land, but bought in components we had not considered (nor did the traditional builders!) when it came to solar access, use of air-flow within the living spaces and light - so much light! He not only factored our needs for today but ensured the home could adapt to our growing needs while not sacrificing on quality. Beyond the design itself, Rocco went over and above to ensure we understood the design decisions he made to develop his vision, listened when we had queries and adjusted components to fit within our budget. He was very supportive throughout the build process and made himself available to explain components to trades where required. I highly recommend Alvaro Architects to anyone looking for a home that has it's own character and where incorporating it's environment is important to your end goal.
