“My Husband and I acquired some land from family and wanted to build a home that would last through several generations. We had never experienced building prior but knew we didn't want a "off the plan" house. We found Eric on line, he was easy to deal with and had a great way of explaining things in a way we could fathom. We wanted to take our time with the plans and Eric never made us feel rushed. He was open to meeting after hours and on weekends as we needed. We felt that we received accurate and timely estimates of the cost of his work as well as the cost of the build and possible pitfalls along the way. I was particular keen to incorporate some more "green" aspects to our house and Eric was a great resource for information and references. We had to make a change to the plans just prior to the slab being poured, Eric was very prompt at helping us get the necessary changes made so the build was not delayed. Overall Eric was enthusiastic and a pleasure to deal with.”

“We have worked with Peter Vernon Architects on a large scale project, a two-storey 1910 house on a double block with a heritage overlay. The house, when purchased by us was largely 'untouched' apart from an added living room, dark and ripe for a full restoration. I was impressed by Peter from the moment he first walked the property with us and realised he was absolutely in tune with our desire to restore our beautiful old house sympathetically. His spontaneous ideas reflected clearly his passion for heritage work. Some major structural changes were required to open up the informal living area to allow more natural light into the house and to also incorporate an ensuite to the master bedroom and the addition of a more generous sized guest bathroom. Most rooms would be 'gutted' and restored using natural materials such as limestone, timber, and woven fabrics. Plans were drawn up by Peter with full collaboration with us throughout the whole design process. We found his communication skills to be exemplary as is his sensitivity to detail. Peter's ability to liaise closely with us and the builder saw the project run smoothly, finish on time and within our budget.”

“Enduring Domain are project managers and designers of our new house, on a sloping country block with specific restrictions imposed by the water authorities. They have faced all challenges with imagination and humour and we are very much enjoying watching the project unfold. Having originally planned to design it ourselves, each time we see the clever design ideas included in this small structure we tell each other "that's why you need an architect". Highly recommended, especially for their concern for environmental sustainability and experience in :"green" building and design.”
