We hired John to prepare plans for an extension to our house. It took a few drafts but in the end we reached a design we were happy with. He also prepared the documents ready to submit to council and they were so thorough they passed through quickly with no issues, which is very rare according to most people I have spoken to about our build. Our builder also commented that the plans were excellent to work with, one of the best he has seen. I recommend John if you are considering an architect.

We found John through an internet search, he had experience in natural building so we enquired. Before even seeing a contract we decided he was the person we wanted to be part of our owner-builder straw bale home. He was on time to our site visit, took notes of our brief and gave helpful insight for consideration. Shortly after we received draft plans which had a number of beneficial adjustments for storage and useable space while retaining the key elements of our brief. Throughout our build John has met every deadline, been prompt with communication and has always been open to feedback. On top of this his estimates have been accurate, and we were very happy with his schedule of fees. It has been a pleasure to work with him and we would highly recommend him to others.

We asked John from Biobuild to come up with ideas to 'refresh' our dull looking 80's built brick veneer project home. John was fantastic from the start. Not only is he a gentlemen to deal with but he also quickly came up with a range of excellent ideas for our home makeover. Given we were not sure precisely what we wanted(just something different!) John was very patient and creative with a range of options for us to pursue. When we had agreed on a direction John was also instrumental in putting together our plans to council and getting them approved. I highly recommend BioBuild and they would be my first point of call if I was to build or renovate again.
