Matt Brindley - brilliant architect!!! I was ready to build a secondary dwelling on my property but didn’t know where to start with the design and planning stage. Matt was recommended to me by my builder. After researching local architects, I was most impressed with Matt’s previous work. Matt was very easy to work and communicate with, very professional. He was so patient with me and elegantly listened to my many ideas, needs and wants for my new dwelling, even though they were all over the place and some of them ever changing! During the concept design process Matt gave me multiple concept options to choose from. My choice was then adapted to what I wanted. He kept me up to date with his progress so I always knew where we were at, making sure I was happy with everything along the way. Matt’s wealth of knowledge, his easy going manner and his experience and advice made the process stress-free and exciting! Matt met me at my house and presented me with a 3D computer model of the new dwelling which was fantastic. I was able to walk around inside and outside, and through each furnished room to see what it would actually look like and get an idea of how it felt…also giving me the opportunity to make any modifications. Matt has taken my scramble of ideas and presented me with a beautifully and cleverly designed dwelling that catered to my budget ( also making sure that all the right sunlight is going into the right rooms at the right times of the day, through the right places!). I highly recommend Matt Brindley and his architectural excellence…I would use him again in a heartbeat.

We hired Matt to come up with ideas and a floor plan so we could renovate our house. Matt wrote down a list of all our wants and needs and was able to come up with a design that we had never thought of. It exceeded all of our expectations while ticking all our boxes. I purchased a narrow sloping block of land in Tewantin with views from the back of the block. I found Matt’s details on HOUZZ and was impressed with some of his past work. He met me on site and came up some concept drawings based on my brief and different levels of a proposed budget. Along with coming up with what I wanted has he had some great ideas and has produced drawings of what will be a fantastic house. He is very easy to communicate with. I’m not ready to build yet but I look forward to working with him when I get to that stage .

Matt was prompt in responding to our inquiry. He is very professional, amazing ideas how to approach some renovations. He completed the first stage of planning renovations and gave us 3 options that we can work with. We totally recommend Matt for any of your building and renovation projects. Matt designed our family home in 1994 and saw it through to completion in 1995. He worked tirelessly to achieve the difficult brief, resulting in a much-loved home. In 2009 he designed a renovation to accommodate the growing family. Again, he worked hard to maintain the integrity of the original design, but expanding it to create a superb 4 bedroom family home. In 2020, it was a sad day for our family to farewell the only home our children had ever know, to pursue new adventures.

As Chairman of the Strata Committee of a tired 8 storey Residential Building in Sydney (first occupied in 1970) I hired Brindley Architects to advise us on façade remediation that included new windows throughout, new spandrel panels below windows and general waterproofing remediation works. A key aspect of the brief was to present concept perspectives for the building façade, refreshing the main entrance lobby and enhancing external elements at ground level. Brindley Architects excelled with the advice and presentations given to the building owners. The façade concepts were adopted and the building works were undertaken and completed in 2019 within the allocated budget and timeframe. Other aspects have been deferred pending Strata Committee funding decisions. The quality and aesthetics of the building have been greatly enhanced as a consequence of this work. I highly commend Matt Brindley as a dedicated, competent and personable professional architect who is committed to understanding and delivering his client's requirements.

Matt is professional, reliable and full of creative ideas and very adapt at problem solving. He designed my kitchen from scratch, helped make the right choices for what I wanted to live with and accomplished that in a pleasant respectful and accommodating manner. I was very happy with the project development, management and result. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any small or large project.

Matt designed our solar passive house on acreage in Diamond Beach in 2011. It is a wonderful house to live in, especially in the cooler months. The spaces work really well and the whole place has the wow factor, both inside and out. Matt came up with a number of solutions in response to our very comprehensive design brief and the details of this final design arose out of his listening to our wishes and collaborating with us. Matt was able to show us 3D computer modelling of the planned house, sun angles and so on, which was a great help. Our budget was very tight and he was mindful of that. It was a successful project overall and we love living here.

Matt designed the most beautiful home for us in the Northern Beaches - we have been raising our family in this home now for over ten years - and we all love it. The space, light, design and function that Matt created in this home has had a massive positive impact on our wellbeing - it just feels lovely to be in.
