“We have used Ed for both of our renovations and have found him to be a great architect. For our first project we used Ed for both the design and the project management of a small renovation. We loved the design which dragged a 1970s monstrosity of a house (think lots of mission brown and wood panelling) right into the 21st Century. Tweaks that Ed made to layout just made the house 'work'. We were exceedingly happy with the result. Ed and his team worked tirelessly behind the scenes so that while we had the usual decisions to make, any of those problems that inevitably turn up on the site were solved before they hit our radar. Our second project was based in Sydney (see Ed's project titled 'Springfield' ) and although we spoke with some local architects we didn't get the same comfortable feeling as we had with Ed. Our second renovation was a major undertaking on a heritage listed house where there had been multiple renovations done in the past and little coherence. The floorplan had small spaces left over that had no practical use and the house was very tired. We extended but only by a small amount but again by rationalising the floorplan we have ended up with a much more usable space. The end result is a gorgeous home. This time I was the project manager but Ed and his team remained on call through-out for whenever my builder or I had any queries. What I love about Ed is that we have achieved a great balance between gorgeous design and practicality. The space looks fab but it is also easy to live in and we love that!”

It was a brilliant way for someone like me to visualise what our new home would look like in terms of spatial awareness, positioning of kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, windows, doors and even our staircase. It really bought our potential renovation/build to life. The 2 walk-throughs of our home allowed us to change some ideas and tweek some rooms we weren't sure about before we submitted our final plans to Council. Thanks to Simon and his team for having the initiative to develop such an impressive service that is sure to be a winner for all future renovators. “Windiate Architects were engaged to design, provide drawings and documents, tender to builders and then manage the building contract for the renovation of our single front 2 bedroom Victorian property into a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom property. Gary was very professional, experienced, positive, enthusiastic and had lots of great idea's. The design process was very well done, with some great concepts that reflected what we wanted, but also challenged and provided more than we had or could have considered ourselves. “Justin and the team at Ardent Architects have been absolutely fabulous to work with. They could understand the vision we had in our head and translate it to paper without our ability to articulate it properly. They gave us exactly what we wanted and more, the result far exceeded our expectations and we WILL be using them in the future. Ongoing site visits meant that during construction they were able to tweek our finishes and enhance the ambiance of the final product! They were always available to do resolve build-ability queries and talk us though new materials and finishes we had not considered. Our house looks stunning and we are constantly receiving compliments on the design. We have been asked so many times who the Architect is that we put a sign on the fence. The team at Ardent Architects were able to all of our rather large wish list in the extensive renovation and importantly they have added immense value to the finished product. “We approached Centrum Architects back in December 2013 to design a substantial renovation to a heritage home in Flemington this home was in need of a complete restoration. We gave Andrew Rowe and Ken Charles a brief of what we would like the finished product to become and needless to say Andrews Design was exceptional and better than we could of dreamed. The Brief was that we would like the home to be restored to its former glory and we also wanted to create a modern extension that would be interesting and cater for a growing family. Andrew presented to us a design that was an exceptional use of space, modern and elegant with some fantastic unique features. The process was collaborative and very efficient with great communication between all parties. The renovation is currently underway and we are extremely excited to be partnered with Andrew, Ana, Ken and the team at centrum. We are looking forward to project completion in september 2015.
