“Skip and Matt designed our new home, which is nearing completion. We are new to this, having never built before. We wanted to select both an architect and a builder who could bring our ideas to life, while at the same time adding their own creative vision and expertise. Skip and Matt exceeded our expectations. Easy to say, but what I mean specifically is: - They are truly collaborative. We provided dozens of pictures, ideas, materials, must-haves, must-not-haves...you name it. The very first set of drawings that came from this collaboration was so close to the vision we had, even though we couldn't articulate it at the time. - They are incredibly hard -working. They take pride in what they do, and will keep working at even the smallest detail until we are all satisfied. - They really listen, and this is reflected in the questions they ask and the ideas they delivered. - They worked very well with our builder. This is so important, and we feel we have a home that reflects two sets of great expertise...Island's and our builders.”

“Bob designed our home. After 10 years I still love it and can't imagine living any where else. He turned our 1960 Tri-level into an open , full of character timeless home. His vision was unbelievable . The roof was taken off and we have an upper deck off our bedroom. We have vaulted ceilings, mahogany alcove bench in bedroom too. I could only load 4 pictures so I did one wall of the kitchen, the stone fireplace in family room open to kitchen, the hallway and sinks in master bathroom. Even though it cost a little over $100,000, the value increased over $200,000. I don't have a McMansion looking house like all others with no hardwood on 2nd floor and no laminate and vinyl cheap stuff. Please forgive the mess and lack of decorating skill, but here are some pictures.”

“He designed our beautiful home. We worked well together in the design and changes along the way. He is just finishing the building of our home. Keith is very easy to work with, responds quickly to last minute changes. Very professional.”

“I've worked with Scott Stephens for several years now and consider him to be one of the best architects I know. His plans are clear and concise and his knowledge and experience shine through on every project. Scott is a pleasure to be around. He has an easy going, "down-to-earth" type personality, yet conducts meetings with the efficiency and professionalism homeowners need and require. Scott has my highest endorsement and I recommend him for anyone considering building a new home, or addition. Scott Wagner, Custom View”

“Dan is a rock star architect! He is client focused, innovative, open to client ideas, and is great at building upon ideas. He is adaptable to making changes from the original plans once you begin construction and realize that you need to make changes. We've done two major renovations to a 100 year old house with Dan, and both have turned out exceptional!”

“I highly recommend Bob Himmel. We had an extremely positive experience working with him. He was always on time and was very responsive to my requests. The project came in on budget and I did not make that easy. He designed my barn and garage/apt. to look like it had been built at the same time as the house. I never could have imagined it would be such a cohesive and functional design. I love working there everyday. He took the time to get to know us and he would often make the same suggestions or changes I was thinking about before I had even verbalized my idea. I know he went out of his way to create a space we would love.”

“510 Architects provided the plan and specs for the renovation of our master bath, a guest bath and the transformation of a sitting/sewing room into a spacious closet (for my wife of course). In addition one of their subsidiaries provided the shelving and other items for the closets. I can't say enough superlatives because the project turned out fabulously. Obviously we are very please and would recommend them to the highest degree. We liked the outcome so well that we are using them again for the rebuild of our river house.”

“We hired Visible Proof to design our retail space (Sweet Spot, a candy store). They helped with the design plan and layout of the space, custom shelving, furniture and lighting selection, lighting plan, color selection, graphics and branding and provided creative solutions for existing columns and small space constrictions. Visible Proof did an amazing job and their vision and professionalism was vital to the success of our shop.”

“There are many architects and builders but few who have the skill, experience, and vision to design and build a green house. Looking for a modern architect in the area, we found Patrick's website and we got to know him before we hired him. We liked him immediately and never "interviewed' anyone else. We never regretted it. He shared our desire to build lightly, letting the surroundings influence the design and materials. He artfully brokered the inevitable differences of opinion between husband and wife, and we enjoyed the consultative process of working out the design together as a small team. After the design was complete, we were happy to have him build the house, too, which has worked out beautifully. On complicated custom houses, there are many situations where unforeseen circumstances or questions arise, and things move more quickly and smoothly when the person responsible for constructing the house is the same person as the person who envisioned it. The house is not yet complete, but we are currently on budget (more or less) and the product is a work of art. I have suffered through many residential and commercial building projects over a lifetime, and this is the first one I've enjoyed. If you're looking for a person with the sophistication and experience to design and/or build a complicated "dream house," Patrick is your man. And if you're not sure, ask him to take you to our house and show you what he is capable of creating. I think you'll come away a believer!”
