“We engaged Sam to design a renovation of a 20 year-old cavity brick beach house. Sam listened to what we were wanting to achieve with our renovation, and then developed a solution which interprets our needs extremely well. We found Sam very easy to deal with. He is punctual, professional, and was always co-operative and friendly. He was very aware and understanding of budget constraints, making thoughtful recommendations on choices of materials and design features. He was readily available for questions about resources and materials and kept us well informed throughout the design process. He was responsive to our queries and changing concepts, showing patience in letting the process take its course. Sam’s advice seemed highly ethical on a number of issues, and has ensured we were forewarned about possible problems in the renovation process. His plans were complete and in compliance, ensuring timely approvals and issuing of building permits. “Ed has designed 2 houses for me so far and helped in many other small projects. He is a very intuitive architect and has an amazing sense of what his clients are after. His designs are light, spacious, contemporary and create a space with an amazing energy and feel. One of Ed's projects for me was a major renovation (just the front wall and 2 original rooms left) of a lovely old Queenslander. The result was exceptional, retaining all the charm and history of the old building whist making it a light filled, ultra modern and superbly livable space. I cannot recommend Ed highly enough.”
