LocalArchitect are south coast architects serving the Nowra, Berry, Kiama, Southern Highlands and greater Sydney area, as well as taking on projects from further afield. We are a modern residential home designer, and we also enjoy creating pleasing commercial and public buildings. Wesley Hindmarch, the principal architect at localArchitect, believes that thoughtful design should always include value for money and practicality in buildings.

Selecting Wes as our architect for a major renovation and extension was the best decision we could possibly have made. We went to him with some basic design ideas which he promptly blew out of the water, coming up with a far more creative, blue sky solution to our brief than we could have imagined. He then ran the whole project through to completion which made things super easy for us. Early into the build, a very difficult situation arose when our first builder was tragically unable to continue, but Wes handled the transition to a new builder skilfully, sensitively and fairly. He has been a joy to work with and we could not be happier with the final result! I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

As a landscape architect, I have collaborated with LocalArchitect South Coast on numerous projects. These include residential buildings on the south coast of NSW, public spaces and buildings for regional NSW Council's (eg: Woodburn Riverside Park, and Artie Smith Oval, Bomaderry) and town centre strategic master plans for regional communities such as Sanctuary Point Village.

As a Structural and Civil Engineer, I have worked with Local Architect on several residential and public works projects. Wes is a nice, down-to-earth guy, with a great vision for design and understanding of how structures integrate into the Architectural design process. LocalArchitect did a great and professional job of renovating my inner city converted shop. Their services included a rebuild of the kitchen, both bathrooms, laundry and adding a guest room. With some clever ideas, they transformed what was a very narrow long space beside a laneway into something light and airy using gorgeous timbers. Definitively recommend them.
