“While the owner and general manager at Gransden Construction we had the experience of working with many top flight architects based in both WA and interstate. In my view Suzie and her team are right up there with the best of them. Suzie has the good sense to understand that a project works beat when everyone works collaboratively to achieve the best results. She loves to use high quality products and produces a design that endures, one that cannot be pigeonholed into a particular era or category. We worked on two large projects over these last few years one in Bedfordale and one in Dalkeith. Both homes are stunners but not in a conventional way. It was obvious to me as a builder that our trades and suppliers "lifted their game" when working on these houses, we all enjoyed and relished using the materials and of course the design. We all realized very quickly that we were working on something special. The result? A raft of awards for both architect and builder including HIA WA Home of the Year 2014, Australian Home of the Year 2015 as well as the HIA National People's Choice Award. Suzie went on to win several architectural awards including a finalist in a international award.”

“Michael Lurie of Lurie Concepts was recommended to us by a colleague due to his experience in designing sustainable homes in the south-west of Western Australia. We have only just commenced our project to have Michael draw up an individual design for our new home to maximise the views on a semi-rural piece of land we have purchased in Margaret River. We are now at Concept One drawing stage. To date we have found Michael has given us detailed information to assist us in understanding the budget required to build our home and the reasons for including certain design features in our home. The first drawings have largely met our brief, having determined our key specifications for the project, and we are very pleased with how our project is progressing. He always responds to my extensive email inquiries in a timely manner and has a measured, knowledgeable and very personable manner in our meetings. Given the delay in obtaining title to our land, he has been very good in providing us with alternatives to enable us to commence building as soon as possible. He also appears to be very mindful of a client's needs, rather than just imposing his own views on design features for our home.”

“It was a pleasure to work with Michael. He is an excellent listener, a clear communicator and very approachable. His first sketch/design met our first brief. He designed a house that we totally loved, it was interesting and exciting and a lot more than what we expected. The building site he chose on the property mean't that we could have a sustainable house that also captured the views. He has extensive knowledge of a wide range of interesting materials and products as well as samples to show. His relationships with tradesman, professionals (eg engineers, surveyors, planners etc ) and industry bodies ensured a smooth process without major delays or setbacks.”
