Mike Pyrchla is the sole operator at Poliart Architecture & Design, primarily undertaking work in the residential & commercial sector. Upon graduating with a masters in architecture from the University of Western Australia, Mike has worked in two architectural practices. Initially working for principles Craig Smith & Ian Hooke at Smith & Hooke Architects for 4 1/2 years, working on a variety of projects including commercial, retail, remote housing and community centres & residential design. Over the past 10 years Mike has been working with Paul Odden, principle at ORA www.optimumresourcearchitects.com.au undertaking work in three main areas - residential, hospitality and commercial - all of which involved specialised interior design services. The practice was recognised by its peers for design excellence in these areas and is the recipient of a number of Royal Australian Institute of Architects Design Awards. Mike has a particular interest in the build-ability aspect of design, having been an owner builder himself and having a family background in the building industry. Poliart relies on commissions for its work usually resulting from referrals and its reputation for a professional approach to design.
