For my client, I specified a dark grey for two niches in a living area and then mounted the perspex artworks in these spaces. “After seeing his work displayed in a gallery, I first commissioned Simon in around 2009 to do a painting for my home based on his gum flowers series. He was responsive, helpful and knowledgable. He came to my house and helped me choose the location and size of the painting, as well as to gain an understanding of what I wanted in the painting. He gave me a fixed price and sent me some mock-ups after his visit so that I could picture what the final painting would look like in my house. The finished product was exactly what I was after and takes pride of place in the centre of my lounge room. He even hung the painting for me! In around 2013 I commissioned Simon to do a second painting for my home based on his gum pods series. Again, he assisted me with the size and style of the painting during the commissioning process, and I was again extremely happy with the result. I am a big fan of Simon's work and my experiences with him have been professional and rewarding. I would highly recommend him.”

“I am 75 years of age. When I was young - that is about the age of 5, I had a dog called Jimmy. We lived close to the ocean. I would often go with Jimmy to the white sandy beach and run along the beach. Jimmy was my constant companion. We would play along the beach for about an hour or more. Jimmy was a dog but he understood clearly what I would say to him. He was a courageous dog. A sheep dog. A loyal dog. A loyal friend in fact. One day before we moved from our place to another, Jimmy disappeared! I missed him very much. Even after about 70 years, I still miss Jimmy. Only his memories have always remained for me over all these years. I thought, Jimmy is gone but what is the next best thing I can have. I was introduced to Antuanelle by a friend of mine. I met Antuanelle and described to her what my dear friend Jimmy looked like. She drew sketches and finally she had drawn a sketch which looked so much like Jimmy! She completed her artwork and I see Jimmy by the beach! I have Jimmy framed and it is hanging in my office. I see him everyday. He is looking at me so iintently as he used to do. It gives me so much joy! Even as I type these words and look at Jimmy, I can see the glean in his eyes! He is looking at me! It is so real! I can feel the tears rolling down my cheeks! Oh! My friend! I miss you- very very much! I love you very much! I will always miss you. You are in my heart and will be there always! I can see you - how bright are your eyes as you look at me even now!
