Art + Fibre + DesigNZ work with interior designers in New York, London and Melbourne, creating unique OOAK (one of a kind) pieces, such as wall art, luxury sofa throws and luxury bed throws designer merino wool cushions felted wall panels (will soften the acoustics of any large conference room) rugs feature curtains and big lampshades. Made from 100% eco Merino wool and other fabulous New Zealand fleeces and fibres For a point of difference, you may be able to incorporate a specially commissioned piece for your interior. This will add another dimension and will give individuality to your home Wool and fibre, with natures eco colours, are the perfect companion to the rich materials, such as schist stone, steel and timber, while at the same time providing another dimension to home and office interiors. Imagine a fibre art installation suspended in the air from the ceiling of a public building, or felted wall art on a stone backdrop, a designer felt art behind the reception of a hotel or softening the walls and sound in conference rooms. We have found people react positively to the raw character of our felt, either the delicate soft look of the 'Romantic' collection, or the appeal of the rough and rugged nature of the 'Wild' collection. Our felted designs can be made in any size required. Art Fibre DesigNZ can work with you to deliver the best assembled system for your projects. If you are an interior designer wanting to pass these products to clients Technique Our products are hand felted using the finest New Zealand wool and fibre: Merino, Llama, Alpaca, Angora Goat and other unusual breeds of coloured sheep: English Leicester, Gotland Pelt, Lincoln, Romney, all lovingly bred by hobby farmers within 30 minutes of my home in Canterbury, New Zealand. I buy the fleeces straight off the sheep's back, so to speak and this is the type of material we use in our products, along with carded and combed wool and alpaca fibre. Felting is a very labour intensive procedure. All steps are by hand using warm soapy water. We use a natural French soap made of olive oil. All our products are eco friendly with no added chemicals. No animals have been harmed or have died in producing our products. We are really excited and proud to be utilising such a wonderful, natural resource of New Zealand.

Mäe Ceramics are made by Christchurch artist and maker, Lilly Maetzig. After completing her Bachelor of Design in 2013, Lilly began making little things for her home out of clay. After there were far too many cups for any home, she decided to start selling them. Each piece is handmade with love and care, and sometimes a bit of stress and swearing when things go wrong. Each piece is also made from locally sourced clay, glazes and slips. Food safe glazes, dishwasher proof and usually okay to go in the oven. Not reccomended for use in the microwave or stovetop.
