About Us

Ruthie L. Designs is a Sydney based surface pattern and textile design company. We design and produce exquisite handwoven rugs as well as wall art. Rugs are custom made and wall art designs are printed onto acrylic, paper or canvas. Rugs and wall art are designed to work together in a space.

Services Provided

For rugs, we provide our clients with a selection of unique designs which can then be customised to size, material and colour using our rug software. For wall art, we also provide our clients with a selection of designs which can then be customised to size, material and colour. We also offer a colour consultation if necessary.

I have worked with Ruth on several projects. Our collaboration results in amazing rugs, that are uniquely tailored to my clients' needs, lifestyle and colour schemes. She is great with bringing my ideas to life, as well as extended knowledge and experience with the manufacturing process.

Daks Design

I commissioned Ruth to design a rug for a client of mine. Her designs are beautiful and the quality of her pieces is excellent. Ruth consulted with myself and put together a proposal which we then presented to my client. We were looking for something organic and textural with a luxurious finish. Ruth had a sample that my client fell in love with. She would have purchased this but we needed a larger rug. We based the new larger rug on Ruth's sample rug and we collaborated with the colour selection to suit my scheme. We have been given a four month manufacture time. We eagerly awaiting the finished product.

Thanks so much for the review Darrell - your client's rug is in the finishing stages and will be washed several times in the next week and the edges finished by hand. Your client will have her rug in the last week of November, slightly ahead of schedule!
