“Phillip and his team were a pleasure to work with. They covered a large project renovating three bathrooms, with numerous major changes in fixture placements and walls, finished to a high spec with a lot of bells and whistles. Plus some fantastic shelves in our pantry. The team all went above and beyond in their efforts to achieve every detail we wanted. They were polite and considerate at all times, fun to chat with and cleaned up after themselves after every visit. They took great care to protect our floors and take the rubbish away immediately, so our lives were impacted as little as possible. The quality was consistently excellent and it was great to feel that level of trust in the work they were doing. It really was remarkable how well they all performed and the resilience and flexibility with which they tackled any additional demands as they arose. I’m sure this was not an easy job, but they never let that show. We have done a lot of renovations, and got to know a wide range of tradespeople in the process, but this was probably the best team overall that we worked with. Light years ahead of the last bathroom company we used. There were many things that set them apart from the norm. One of them was the in-house design capability (well, you could call her Anita) which is a key level of service missing with many other bathroom providers. One competitor, for example, visited then tried to persuade me to leave everything as it was and just retile and put new fixtures in. Another asked me to pay a designer separately and take that to him. Another tried to figure it out himself. We could not have achieved such good end results without that vision and that attention to detail in the planning stage. Another was their plumber, who was not only a ray of sunshine to see every day, but he had qualifications far beyond that of a normal plumber, so the value he brought was outstanding. Phillip himself came across as very professional but also a kind person, who had built a great team because he values and respects them. He was patient and well organised every time things got shaken up. It felt good to work with good people and we are very happy with the bathrooms we get to enjoy every day now. So we recommend them wholeheartedly.”

We were able to live in our home for most of our renovation. This surely added complexity for Smith and Sons, but it saved us the hassle and cost of finding alternative accommodation. We are extremely happy with the quality of their work. They held themselves to an extremely high bar. Any potential issues we noticed during the build, they were quick to engage with and action.
