Atelier DAU

Atelier DAU (Atelier for Design and Urbanism) is a multi-disciplinary practice that designs both private residences and urban interventions. Our built typologies incorporate biophilic elements to enhance people’s associations with their immediate natural surroundings. Principal and founder, Emma Rees-Raaijmakers, established Atelier DAU (previously Arque) to further explore a range of artistic collaborations incorporating residential design, product design and placemaking. Throughout her career she has worked with numerous prestigious design practices in Sydney, Hong Kong and The Netherlands. These experiences continue to play an important role in her approach to all projects. We constantly strive to create spaces and products that are both energising and innovative. Our approach is simple - we listen to and converse with our clients - to create tailored, refined and timeless spaces. Collaboration is also a cornerstone of our practice – with our clients, builders and artisans with whom we eagerly welcome partnerships.
