David approaches each and every project with passion and professionalism. We worked with David on his North Beach project and would strongly recommend him for a high quality, unique and personalized design.

We first came across David on Houzz, whilst in the final stages with a project builder. We weren't happy with the way things were progressing and contacted him on the off chance he could help us with our design. That was the best move we could have ever made. David so kindly agreed to help and whilst he looked over our plans we started to look over some of his designs. Our jaws dropped :-) We quickly parted ways with our builder and asked David if he could design something for us. We took elements from Davids existing designs that we loved and David came up with a floorplan to suit our block and budget. We had started to become disillusioned with various project builders and the whole design/building process. He made the process of designing our first home the kind of experience we thought it should be. It was always exciting to open Davids emails, and more than once they've resulted in us both doing a little happy dance in the kitchen :-) He has a passion for what he does and that really comes through. David designed us the kind of home that we never thought we could afford and like nothing you would ever see advertised in the newspaper. He always remembered design aspects that we had loved and constantly tweaked and improved on them with every alteration we made. Davids continued advice and support beyond the initial design phase has been amazing. As opposed to our experience with project builders, it never felt like David was trying to sell us a house, it felt like he was helping us build our home. David has worked with us for almost a year on our designing our new home, through our many changes all of which eventually resulted in returning to his original design. David is genuinely patient as he let us work through the process of designing our new home while contributing sensible ideas and solutions. My husband and I came across David's website and his profile on Houzz when we were looking to build our coastal home. We immediately loved David's work and some of his designs and ideas he displayed on the sites. We contacted him and found that we were all 'on the same page' as far as the potential for our site. We were very interested in having an eco-friendly design and maximising the northern aspect for light, warmth and cooling where appropriate throughout the seasons. David's knowledge, experience and enthusiasm was excellent in this regard. We loved David from the start, he was really good at listening to what we wanted and transferring our ideas to a fantastic design that we immediately fell in love with. He was very consultative and supportive with any ideas we had whilst being realistic in relation to the costs involved or any practical changes needed. David was excellent at suggesting alternative materials or design to keep costs down but keeping our overall dreams a reality. A really helpful service from our point of view was being able to share our Ideas Book on Houzz with David. This allowed him to analyse our overall taste and establish the look we were after for our new home. We simply saved lots of ideas that he was able to expand on when we met. This ensured he understood what materials, style and look we were after which was so much easier than trying to verbally explain it - a picture tells a thousand words as they say. David is very experienced and has some great ideas, ideas we would not have thought of had he not suggested them.
