Working with Ivan has completely changed our view on the value of having an architect assist with your project. Having previously built homes with project builders I had no idea just how different the quality of service and ideas would be by engaging a true professional. Ivan strikes a good balance between customer service and honesty, we always felt that our ideas were considered and respected but at the same time could rely on him to give his honest opinion on what we had proposed. This was a source of great comfort for us in building what we want to be our forever home. Ivan was also able to quickly arrange and re-work ideas into a cohesive design that removed all of the awkward issues we had struggled with in developing our initial concept. It was a delight working with Ivan through the design of our house. He really listened and wanted to understand our life style and the way we function with the home and living zones. We achieved a small lot two storey home that worked perfectly for our family. The living spaces are light, feel open and functional while providing a spacious flowing indoor-outdoor relationship with our entertaining area and plunge pool. We definitely achieved the best use of the block on our street, (to the envy of our neighbours) with the sense of space that the living and outdoor area provided, comprising a bbq area, dining area, day lounge/coffee table area, grass, garden and the pool. It’s the best entertaining and living space I could have hoped for. Ivan has a brilliant sense of how a home should feel and function well. He suggested other thoughtful features to suit our lifestyle including to the kitchen, kids zones, and I also love the ensuite. Ivan provided us with house plans and also managed the entire process including all approvals, builder quotes and progress management with the builder. This took a lot of pressure off us and the process went smoothly. Really happy with the service and finished product.
