About Us

Martin Vaughan was raised in Wollongong, where he grew up in a environment influenced by his mother a creative textile artist and equally talented structural engineer father. From High School Martin studied visual arts at Canberra School of Art majoring in Sculpture under the teachings of Ron Robertson Swan, Ante Dabro and Michael Le Grand. On completing visual arts studies he was offered a exciting opportunity to work and study architecture with Graham Bell and Bowman Architects in Wollongong. Over this time under the guidance of Bruce Bowman he honed his craft as a graduate architect working on a diverse range of projects from educational, industrial and commercial projects. After many years he moved to work with Timothy Court & Company Architects working on Equine and Leisure projects such as William Inglis & Sons Selling Complex Newmarket, Australian Jockey Club Betting Pavilion and Infield Trainers Building and Spectators Entrance, China 2008 Olympic Games Hong Kong Equestrian Centre as well as Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron Careening Cove Bar & Brasserie. In 2005 he established his own sole practice as a graduate architect bringing to the design and construction of projects a deep connection with sculptural expression and three dimensional awareness with a clinical refinement to resolve every detail to deliver completed and complex projects beyond his clients expectations.
