Designing my house with Mariska from Spacewise Design was a very positive experience. She was able to take my ideas and come up with designs that were achievable within by budget. Mariska at Spacewise Design is a highly creative and space-conscious drafter. We engaged her services after a positive recommendation from friends. Mariska was prompt in meeting with us at our block of land to get a good sense of what we wanted in our house design, as well as get a feel for the block and its positioning. She was prompt in getting 3 initial designs to us and we were impressed at how well she incorporated our visions and important points into each design, as well as incorporating her own aspects into the design, bringing years of experience and wisdom, as well as a real appreciation and respect for utilisation of the spaces. Mariska was always extremely professional and prompt in her communications with us, along the way always offering suggestions around the many challenges we faced in designing in accordance to local government building code. Even after building commenced, we turned to Mariska for advice and assistance in regards to retaining wall installation, in which she was extremely helpful and reassuring. We highly recommend Mariska at Spacewise Design for her service and we are so grateful to her for her continual patience and expertise with our project. We are delighted with Mariska's design of our new house. Right from the first conversations Mariska really listened and "got" what we liked and needed. The end result is a lovely home, stylish, modern and full of light. We required our home to have disability access. Mariska was knowledgable about what was required and the end result will work very well. Mariska always responded promptly to any of our queries. She was unfailingly helpful, pleasant and professional. As well as responding to what we wanted, Mariska was not afraid to advise on some details when we needed it. She has even given us advice about some aspects of the house well after the design phase was completed. Mariska also designed our daughter's home and they are extremely pleased with the design. I am very happy with the services that Spacewise Design has provided to me. Mariska improved and developed my ideas for a new patio and non conventional front boundary wall into professional detailed 3D and CAD drawings ready for council approval and engineering. Spacewise design drafted the plans and design for my two storey house in Yanchep. Her design ideas made the most of the challenging block shape and slope while maximising the views from the inside. The result was brilliant and I couldn't recommend Mariska and Spacewise Design highly enough.

Mariska from Spacewise Design was integral to my kitchen renovation. Her design ideas worked to create a space which opened up the kitchen/dining area to our outside living area. She suggested the use of bi-fold doors for the opening which work absolutely perfectly. Mariska was very respectful of my wishes for my new kitchen area however helped me to be more objective and create a space which I had not even thought of.

I hired Mariska @ Spacewise Design to draught and design my new home. I purchased a battleaxe block and needed a compact but spacious single storey home that made the most of the difficult space. Mariska came up with a plan straight away that did just that and then she worked with me consistently to refine the design to meet all my needs. I have ended up with a very cost effective design that is solar passive and has no wasted space at all and also has great separation between areas. Lots of different areas outside and great airy living spaces inside. Mariska was very easy to work with, responded to my phone calls, had lots of innovative ideas herself but always ready to listen to my ideas and to incorporate them into the house. The design process was painless and exciting (unlike the build which is a different story and nothing to do with Mariska) Mariska was happy to liaise with the builder to get the design through council and I could not be more pleased with her work and support.

Mariska at Spacewise listened to our ideas for our renovation,but throughout the process of compiling our plans always had great alternative ideas if needed.She has a great knowledge of the latest materials,products and regulations.Always kept our budget in mind when compiling the plans making the whole experience very positive and cost effective.

Spacewise Design - The reason our owner build was on time and within budget. Back in October 2012 I made the decision to extend my house. Due to being a sub divided block, the only way to go was up. There were a number of challenges some included, metal stud frame walls that were not capable of taking extra loads, a unique shaped roof and the inability to use common property for building access. I presented Mariska with a very basic drawing of my plans for the extension. She was able to draft a design to make this a possibility and make the house look like it had never been extended. On top of this, the amount of invaluable advice that she provided from the start allowed me to submit the correct documentation to council in the correct order, find cheaper alternatives to building materials and conduct my own accurate energy rating. Assistance was also provided through the structural engineering process. Mariska being aware that I was an owner builder with some challenges ahead of me was able to ensure that the structural engineer had on the plans extra standards that I was able to present to the carpenters. Also come up with solutions to avoid the need for cranes. I cannot recommend Spacewise Design enough.

Mariska worked 'with' us from the first day we hired her; she listened to what we wanted, gave us the confidence we needed as first time owner builders and gave us more valuable advice than we believe we would have got anywhere else. We are so glad we chose Spacewise Design for our project. We are now in the process of building the house of our dreams. We would definitely recommend Spacewise Design.
