“I originally approached Sally for advice on optimising the functionality of the outdoor space so that it became an extra room. The interior of my home is small and therefore I really needed another area to entertain. The workmanship on the decking is immaculate! I would't have thought to use the picture frame boarder but I admire it every time I am in the space. The next stage will be to plant out the garden beds, which Sally is also helping to arrange when I am ready. I have also always wanted plantations shutters, but thought they were out of my budget. Sally was able to use her industry contacts to obtain a price that was considerably less than the direct quote I received! I am so happy with the affordability, professionalism and genuine care that Substance Within Design and Sally herself have delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend working with Sally on your next project!”

“Denise, from DSDezines worked with my ideas about what I wanted for my spaces,and provided advice and ideas based on these, while also adding to them. She spent a great deal of time consulting me to understand not only what we liked, but also how we lived in the house so the pieces chosen were not only beautiful, but functional. Another thing I valued was that Denise kept the whole of the interior of my house in mind when planning how to furnish and decorate a room. This meant it was possible to focus on one room, or space at a time, while having an overall plan for the look I was trying to create for the whole house. I love my study, where I work most days. Denise can also access a good range of suppliers, with many options to choose from. She goes above and beyond trying to source just the write piece of furniture, or decoration. Overall, I found Denise and the service she offered helped to make the process of turning out new house into our lovely home exciting and enjoyable. I continue to use her service on an ongoing basis when I'm ready to tackle the nest project in the house. Thanks Denise.”

“I wanted to transform my house during a covid lockdown, to help us sell our property. I was able to work with Tracey via her E-Design service which made everything so easy and cost-effective. I gave her a paint colour sample I liked which set the tone for the design and a brief of what I wanted her help with. After a few Zoom calls she went away and worked her magic. She presented everything virtually which was so easy. I can’t wait to get my new house now and go through the whole process again! I have no hesitation in recommending Tracey to others and will be using her services again.”

“After a consultation, Natasha presented fabrics, wallpaper, paint, door solutions and general suggestions that were aligned with my preferences as well as the existing house design. Her solutions to my tricky window requirements were perfect and her suggestion on wallpapering resulted in my formal living areas transitioning form good to "wow". She was the project manager and chose trades people with impeccable work ethic and skill. Talk to Natasha if you want to get everything done that you have put off for a long time because you need inspiration and someone who can keep the project on track.”

“I cannot recommend Jacque enough. Jacque's style, creativity and flair for interior design is amazing and very very exciting. She had a willingness to work with pieces I already had and I definitely wanted to keep and was able to add value with some exciting ideas. I love how Jacque can open up your creative mind in a comfortable and respectful way. It was also very comforting that she was able to work within my budget - gave me peace of mind. “Tenille consulted with us in planning our ensuite bathroom renovation. The new layout she designed is a winner, and something we just hadn't thought of! Moving the vanity unit and toilet onto a different wall really opens the room up, making it feel roomier and more elegant. “Sally’s brief began with the lighting, but very soon extended to engaging her services for every aspect of the interior design of our home. It was obvious early on that having Sally involved throughout would produce a much more sophisticated result in a lot less time and would also save us money in the long run. We aren’t confidant or experienced decorators so it was enormously helpful to have Sally guide us. Sally really appreciated the unique nature of our home and its environs and somehow understood the approach we wanted to take. She has a remarkable design aesthetic and was able to translate our feelings and thoughts about how we wanted our place to look into something real and tangible that we now enjoy and are grateful for every single day. Sally is really wonderful to work with. She is a genuinely lovely person that takes a lot of pride and care in her design work; big or small. Having Sally help us made the process of decorating our home enjoyable: not stressful in any way. I would and do recommend Sally to everyone that is considering doing some interior design work.”
