Everyone who sees the wardrobes gasps and comments as soon as they walk into the room. That might sound over-the-top but it really is what happens! He also took my coffee table away, that had a scratch, and returned it scratch-free. Much appreciated!”

JP is a joy to work with; an absolute perfectionist who’s also efficient and gets the work done on time (often the two don’t go hand in hand!). A cabinet maker rather than joiner he’s happy to talk through the tiniest of details to get things right and, due to a background managing luxury interiors projects was able to help visualise the end result, give valued design advice, and collaborate well with other trades to bring the project together. “Isao Tanahara is a marvellous designer. He has a genius for transforming a room in a way that one would never have thought possible. When I moved into my loft apartment I was apprehensive about what to do with it; a beautiful bare space with light and original brickwork. I only knew that I wanted it to have a 'lightness of being' that fitted in with its contemporary and chic look. I knew I could trust Isao to transform the space to a new and exciting level. Isao has done several extraordinary pieces of precision work for me which have delivered great subtleness of design with a real statement. My shelves have a clever mix of glass and light and ingeniously follow the signature colours for some of the furnishings in my apartment. He has made a truly original 'memory box' - a beautiful blend of glass, colour and light and he created two exceptional side tables to show my vintage typewriters. His 'lightness of being' shelves have given life to corner spaces. All stunning 'Isao genius pieces' and all admired by those who come to my flat. Isao has a unique and talented blend of the artist as well as the designer within him. He is also passionate about his work. When he finishes a piece and I see it for the first time, I am always astounded. “Firstly Phil is a pleasure to work with, he is patient, listened to my requests and never pressured me when I was unsure on decisions, guiding me with useful experience. He created a study bookcase from floor to ceiling which looks beautiful and is exceptional quality, you can feel it when you open and close the lower bookcase doors. Phil also extended the loft conversion hatch to the remaining roof storage, even that, which I can't say I was expecting much from, looks great and is off a very high quality. The finish is excellent and he leaves everything clean and tidy. I strongly recommend.”
