And then, they remodeled our kitchen, which looks gorgeous! We have a small kitchen in a 100-year-old house, and they came up with ideas to add storage space that we couldn't have imagined before! We could not have had a better experience -- and we're already talking with them about a bathroom remodel for next year! They are professional, courteous, smart, extremely capable -- AWESOME!!! They set the price and stay on budget, but they are flexible if things change and you decide you want something a little different. “I searched houzz to find a design oriented contractor to design/install coffers and trim in the first floor great room and kitchen area as well as install replacement spindles (replace wood w/ metal). Following meeting with four providers and getting estimates, ended up working with Roger/Mitre Contracting. We have absolutely no regrets and can not be happier with the work. The work was completed exactly per the time frame, design and estimate. In fact another small space was added to the end of the job which he just included into the initial estimate! I have never heard of a contractor doing that. The quality of the work was verified by a painting crew that followed, which included several carpenters. In fact, the head of the painting crew and Mitre exchanged information for future referrals. I just hope Roger/Mitre do not get too busy so he/they can return to complete follow-up work.”

“This hidden gem is Hagerstown, Maryland's pride. The Master's Woodshop's exquisite custom cabinetry, furniture and moldings are out-of-this-world gorgeous. We went to their small facility to choose the crown molding we wanted for our first floor because we needed something a bit more wide and ornate than we could find at the box stores. There was such a wide selection of single pieces that could be used alone or in conjunction with additional profiles to satify any conceivable requirement. While there we caught an unexpected glimpse of the magnitude of what they do in their shop. They had some custom wall units finished and ready to go that were unlike anything I'd ever seen with regard to elegance of finishes, molding options, precision measurements and clever details. All made by hand. They supply moldings for many of the "McMansions" in the DC area. They can reproduce molding to match what is in your house so refurbishing is less of a headache. Knowing where your resources are, such as folks who can custom-make or reproduce something critical to your design, are invaluable. Anyway, I highly recommend these seasoned veterans of woodworking. Whatever dream you have, whatever measurement must be accommodated, these folks will not disappoint!”
