They responded immediately and were able to come out to see what was needed within the week. An estimate was given within the next week. They had an opening rather quickly. The work was completed in my garage and then installed in our great room. The craftsmanship is excellent!”

“I found Organic Recreations as the farmhouse style was just gaining popularity. Akin to most people, I jumped on this bandwagon. I was primarily concerned with the appearance of my dining set than its quality. My initial thought was to have the dining set until the style fades away and replace it later with something that matches the trend. Little did I know that Chrissie and Jay would change my perspective on that. Our farmhouse table and 2 benches along with our coffee and end tables are unquestionably classic and timeless. Their work is unparalleled and simply screams quality! Upon seeing and feeling my dining set, my mom, who is RARELY impressed, spoke so highly of their work so as to suggest that this is something I can pass down to my children, i.e., an heirloom passed down from generation to generation. That is exactly what my husband and I will do! What an INCREDIBLE job, and that is an understatement. May I add that behind the scene, Chrissie had been so wonderful and patient with our back-and-forth conversation concerning the final product. My husband and I are grateful to have met them. This was our first order and will certainly not be the last!”

“We had a two story summer porch that was loosing it's foundation. Michael's knowledge of old homes (our porches are 1920s, attached to an 18302 house), together with his background as an artist and craftsman, were exactly what we needed. His group did a fantastic job, going the extra mile to locate and use old wood planks from another site for one floor, restoring old window hardware, finding hardware that matched, etc, was everything and more than we were looking for. We honestly think that with the age of our home and my husband's knowledge of history we will usually have to 'settle' for something when we address major issues. We didn't once settle for anything in this project. He was timely, and worked with us in price to help keep it a reasonable project. The foundation is now totally new. Will last forever. And we have two beautiful rooms that we use regularly, rather than the old 'storage rooms' we have before the project.”

We had him install a home office (cabinets, a desk and open shelving) and storage in a children's play area (window seat, open shelving and cabinets). He worked with us to stay within our budget without sacrificing quality or craftsmanship. He obviously takes great pride in his work, and it shows. He does not take any short-cuts, and the pieces were clearly built to last. He even thought about little details I hadn't -- like reinforcing the drawers in the built-in window seat in case my two children were to push down on them while they were open. I cannot say enough good things about Derek and the quality of his work. If I ever have any other woodworking projects, I would hire him again in a second!”

Our first project was in our Kitchen matching the existing cabinets to move a refrigerator and create a more open area. The second project was a complete bathroom renovation and Steve was extremely detail oriented down to the options on which was to open the cupboard doors and making sure a queen ssheet set would fit down the clothing shoot.
