“We started our renovation in September 2019, and it was finished in December 2019. Dan worked with us from the initial design (with the architect) all the way to completion of the structure. Prior to the renovation we had a three-bedroom, 1-bathroom house with a kitchen and a separated living area. Our laundry was located off the back of the house and only accessible externally. As part of the renovation, we added •a new master bedroom with a second full bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe; •a new laundry with access to the existing deck; •a new pocket toilet, next to the laundry; •a larger dining/living area, with access to the existing desk; and •significant alternations to the existing kitchen and living room area to make the design more “open plan”. Dan and his team were great to work with from the onset and as the build progressed it was evident that Dan was thinking about the build at each stage and working to ensure that our design brief was being managed within the approved plans. This meant that any issues were picked up and addressed early. Dan has a keen eye for detail and worked hard to integrate the new structure with the existing house. Dan and his team checked in with us at all major milestones and worked with us to install our fittings and fixtures and also to install additional items at our request. Dan's builders, carpenters and outsourced trades were friendly and approachable. Everyone onsite looked after the place, we never saw any rubbish lying around, the doors were always locked and the garage door closed. There were very minimal variations to the quoted price, and when they were required Dan clearly explained why and the benefits of progressing. Post the build being finished Dan rectified any small defects. Overall working with Queensland Renovations was a great experience and we are very happy with the end result! Thanks again.
