We have worked with Matt and Tara many times over the years helping create gorgeous tropical hardwood decks and porches. Matt's carpentry skills are unsurpassed and his attention to detail is second to none. He puts so much time into his take offs there is almost zero waste. Tara is always a true pleasure to deal with responding quickly whether by phone or email. Can not recommend this company enough if you're looking for the highest quality deck contractor in the greater Cincinnati area.

As you may or may not know its hard to find true craftsman nowadays. Matt knows what he's doing from start to finish. We did a deck out of a Brazilian hardwood (Cumaru) and it turned out beautiful.

We hired Thomas Decks to install an ipe deck for our house in May 2015. We were impressed with their knowledge, experience, and professionalism throughout the project. They provided a detailed estimate, extended the warrantee to match another estimate, and even fit our project into their busy springtime schedule. They were always easy to work with, prompt to respond to emails, answer any questions we had, and help us to finalize details for the deck project. The workers were experienced and detail-oriented. They completed the project within the estimated timeframe we were given. They requested a checklist at the end of the project to review the work and modify anything we wanted. The deck turned out even better than we anticipated. The deck is both beautiful and skillfully constructed. We have gotten many compliments on the deck from family, friends, and neighbors. Given the opportunity to hire Thomas Decks again, we would definitely do so and highly recommend them.

Thomas Decks did an incredible job on our deck! It goes the entire length of the back of our house, and then picks up at the driveway so our guests can park and walk right onto the deck. The quality is awesome! Matt was super kind and hardworking, and Tara is so responsive regarding communication/updates. We hired Matt with Thomas Decks to build an 18' X 40' composite deck with an open air porch on the back of our house. It turned out even better than we could have imagined! Thomas Decks, my first experience removing deck material. Matt was kind enough to lend me the necessary tools, and demonstrated basic's in how to remove deck boards; it takes a lot of patience. I learned demo's are quite unique, and too, the necessity in keeping a clients exterior as neat as possible during the process. Thomas Decks is a company that prides itself on quality work. Because there are many contractors out there that would not have the attention to detail that I would in building my own deck, I was initially intent on building my own. However, the complicated permit process and my lack of experience was too much for me to overcome, and I hired Thomas Decks to help me with the design, permit, and framing process. This was the best money that I have ever spent, because Thomas Decks provided the experience, talent, and quality that I was looking for. They work hard, and they do things right. They are honest and fair, and followed up on issues without being asked. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them. We love and enjoy our quality deck, and we often get great compliments on it. If I ever move to another house, the first thing I will do is call Thomas Decks from the beginning and have them build another quality deck, because they are the best!!!!
