“We brought the corner block on the entrance into the developing estate and felt that we had to do something totally different than what was already constructed. We approached Tracy at Arch Design Space. Tracy listened to our ideas and requirements and developed them into what is an amazing home. Our build due to our requirements had several complex design issues and Tracy worked through them with us. What we have ended up with is an easy to live in, spacious and thermally efficient house that attracts many compliments. As the home was being constructed we had neighbours and people driving by stop and ask about what we were doing with the various claddings and why. Once explained they congratulated us on being innovative and creative as the house stands out from surrounding dwellings. If we do another project in the future we will have no hesitation in engaging Tracy at Arch Design Space to design our next home.”

“We contracted Green Point Design to draft building plans for our new custom build in Glenlyon, VIC. Eric took the time to carefully consider several designs that may provide the best use of the land in terms of views, sustainability, efficiency, materials and practicality. Using his experience in passive and energy efficient design he was able to walk us through varied options and use the different designs to match a plan to not only our budget but also our personal style and tastes. We were advised very early by Eric that our design/drafting process would take time and many hours of consultation to get it right. We were encouraged to ask questions and request explanations as it was truly important to get exactly what we wanted from the process. With an enormous amount of patience and commitment Eric pieced together our dream home. We are very happy with the result.”

“Having bought a block of land in Ballan we were keen to build a passive solar, strawbale house. This wasn’t going to be an easy task as our land was south facing with a rather steep slope into flood plain. We knew that Matthew Turner had an interest in such designs so we engaged him to consider our brief. He quickly solved our need to face north by turning the house around – instead of a street scape we now had double glazed windows framing views across the valley and surrounding countryside. Carefully designed eaves gave us the winter sun and protected us from the hot summer rays. Matthew was very thorough in his approach and always open for suggestions and alterations. He was enthusiastic regarding the design features and was a very hands-on architect. As the task was not an easy one Matthew’s time, skill and creativity was greatly valued.”
